This hotel is situated in a very nice part of Gumbet. I stayed here for two weeks and didn't want to leave. The food is nice, the hotel rooms and building is extemely clean, the kids loved the pools.
The entertainment is fantastic, the beach is ok better beach nearby. I loved it here.
I would certainly go back and so would the kids. Good for families.

The Simba Hotel is a good place to stay. It was clean and the staff and manager was very very friendly. Weather was great even in October. Bit of a walk UP to the hotel, and there was a wee bit of a walk to the main shops, bars etc. Beach wasn't great.Food in hotel wasn't the best because they didn't have much British food although if cheese is your thing dig in!
I can't remember much about the entertainment apart from a belly dancing night. But I would visit this hotel again.

My boyfriend and I went for 2 weeks here, it wern't good. The first room we were put in was awful, the walls were wet with damp, mould grew on my boyfriends shoes overnight, the toilet keptleaking all over the floor, it smelt really bad and our "garden view" was a huge white brick wall a few foot from our door.
The second day we were there we were both terribly sick and Ben couldn't leave the room. We met a couple who advised us we wern't the only sick people and to eat at a restaurant on the beach called the Windy Bay,5 min walk, this place was stunning, fab grub, excellent value 4 money. The Chicken Kiev was the size of my FOOT! & u got a free bottle of any wine with your meal!! Nice Touch!
At the hotel some of the staff were weird, the chef was a nutter who kept shouting at the poor waitres, the bar staff were OK. Half way through our holiday we had a note left in our room saying they were going to move us because of the bad smell coming from our room, we packed all our things and moved to the other side of the hotel, in fairness they did offer to do it for us. The new room was lovely, which was pretty annoying as we'd lived in a dump for a whole week.
Couldn't fault the weather, not that that's down to anyone, but it was brilliant, especially since it was in Oct. Towards the end of our stay we learn't that there was oing to be a Turkish wedding held at our hotel that would last for 3 days. Within hours the hotel was full to bursting with turkish people, the sunbeds were taken away from the pool, the staff told us we wern't allowed to use it anymore, the beach near to us was grubby, smelly small and covered in dogs so we had to go to another hotel. They closed all the hotel facilities, ran out of all the half decent drinks at the bar and food in the mini mart. The restraunt was closed to the holiday makers, we were made to line up outside like a kiddies dinner hall, while the wedding guests got first choice at all the food and the tables, we eventually got in and there was no food left, except rice and salami, which, by the way, was left over from breakfast.
Ben finally lost his rag when we were half way through our meal when we were told to move for the wedding guests so they could sit down, we didn't go back to the hotel again, only to sleep and even then, the wedding went on till 3:30am so we didn't get to relax. The Turkish guests were knocking on our door and phoning us through the night. From then on we stayed in the hotel next door the Jasmine, much much better, shame we didn't choose that one instead when we booked. By the last couple of days 60% of the guests were trying to get early flights back to the UK because it was so AWFUL. All in all, either this hotel is pretty poorly run or it was just bad luck. I could go on, but I won't bore you anymore as I think you get the idea!
