Have to try Tommy's bar (2 minutes over the road) - fantastic food and service - Also Meryhem (a 10 minute walk towards square) is absolutely the best if you like local cuisine - try the mixed meze starter - WoW!

Plenty of lovely restaurants close by, and depending if you like Boom Boom bars or places for a chill drink, everything is on your doorstep, but doesn't interfere with your sleep.

Generally roads clean but sometimes paths had rubbish in bags on them.The river that runs through was shallow with empty plastic bottles and some rubbish in it.
Entertainment was generally good for all ages young and old good family resort.Don't be put off by the hassle from bars staff trying to get you in just say no thank you and they leave you alone.
Beach was generally clean but constantly hassled over sunbeds got annoying after a while.The beach was not sandy but very course shingle which was quite sore on the feet.Plenty of watersports to choice at competitive prices.
Would visit the resort again purely for the watersports.

I have only given the beach a 4 because although it was very clean it is not sand but shingles (meant my daughter couldn't build sandcastles).

Very clean resort with excellent prom which seems to go on for miles!! Plenty of shops and restaurants. Canal area lovely especially at night and lovely market stalls along each side. Beach manmade and a bit dissapointing - it very gritty, walked on it once and decided to stay at pool for rest of holiday. Harbour area beautiful. Icmelar a quieter version of Marmaris and better for younger families who prefer things a little quieter at night although not dead!! Definately going back.

We have now visited Icmeler about 7 times, so it speaks for itself really, we love it.
Although we spend less time in the town itself each visit, we tend to stay in the Old Village area where we have made many kind Turkish friends.
Something I haven't noticed elsewhere on these posts - the reason you get so few mossie bites is the fact that Icmeler is sprayed regularly. It makes a huge difference, I have stayed in places where I've been bitten to death (ok, a slight exaggeration!)and it does spoil your holiday. None of that in the lovely Icmeler.

the resort was very nice. people were very friendly. jimmy supermarket helped us phone home :)entertainment was good !!! and the beach was very nice. and also nice and clean. :)

We have visited this resort for the last 10 years and it is really a smashing little resort with the people to match, I hope that they do not price icmeler out of the market it is not a cheap resort any more it is getting expensive to eat and drink out and noticable was the amount of empty shops that you never used to see.

love the resort.good entertainment in the bars.very pretty scenery.have been there 6 times in 3 years.would highly recomend this resort.

Loved the resort.Great family place with loads to do...Beach was lovely and clean ,the water was breathtakingly beautiful .Huge variety of restaurants.Have recommended icemeler to all my family and friends !

Icmeler is a few miles away from Marmaris (Thank God!). Lovely restaurants, polite and nice residents, hot weather, great views, beach easily reachable and a superb market where you can grab some bargains if you don't mind a bit of bartering. A little bit of rubbish in some corners but streets always swept and washed and whole town smelt clean
