Have to try Tommy's bar (2 minutes over the road) - fantastic food and service - Also Meryhem (a 10 minute walk towards square) is absolutely the best if you like local cuisine - try the mixed meze starter - WoW!

Plenty of lovely restaurants close by, and depending if you like Boom Boom bars or places for a chill drink, everything is on your doorstep, but doesn't interfere with your sleep.

The only problem was sometimes the people were hassling us to come in an eat. Just be polite and talk to them, dont ignotre them, they are very nice people and just trying to make money for their families. Just say you have just eaten but you will bear them in mind for another day

Icmeler was much bigger than I thought it was going to be. There are literally hundreds of bars and restaurants down every road you turn and although it was a busy resort (although quieter than previous years according to return visitors) it certainly couldn't be classed as boisterous.
The restaurants we visited were all of a high standard with particular mentions to Wayside, Selam and Cupids. There are bars to suit all tastes and plenty of shopping opportunities around the resort.
The beach is shingle and does hurt your feet when getting in and out of the water where it tends to be more stoney. Sunbeds can be hired or are given free if you eat/drink at one of the seafront bars. There are lots of different exursions to choose from with numerous tour operators around the resort. Water taxis are available to Marmaris and Turunc for 7.5 lira per person.

I'm led to believe this hassle has calmed down from previous years so I'd have hated to experience it previously! lovely place can be lively or quite beach vey clean and staff along the beach always willing to help would go back to this resort excellent.

Very nice flat resort much nicer than the neighbouring marmaris. The beach and the views are fantastic although the sand is grainy. They do pester you to go into the restaurants but are really friendly with it.

Icmeler has plently to offer for all ages, water sports, boat trips, horse/jeep/and quad safaris. The Jeep safari is a must for anyone as the true kid comes out in you, when your let loose with water pistols and start firing at other team mates!! The restaurants will be try & intice you in, but as long as say your already eaten there fine, we just smiled and carried walking..People are really friendly over there. Beach is not sand, but is fine grit, not painful to walk on as we first expected. Definetly will be coming back to Icmeler.

Very good resort and very clean and there is plenty of entertainment going on in all the bars there and the bar's staff will bend over backwards to make you feel welcome. I dont like the beach myself because it is shingle I prefer sand myself. Yes I would go back to Ichmeler again, this was the 2nd time for us as a family.

Icmeler is a lovely resort, very clean and people are very friendly. the entertainment was fantastic , bar staff danced and entertained with the turkish dancing. the beach was not what i expected as it was tiny little pebbles but its better than sand getting in all of the clothes, bags etc.. we only went to the beach once but that was because the children enjoyed our hotel pool with slide better.The market was under canvas and boiling, the turks on the market (only) are very demanding and i found i couldn't look at the stall without being pressured! everything apparently was "cheaper than Asda, Primark, and chips! i did get a fantastic pair of shoes from there though, 3 pairs for £10.00-brill. The chemist are very hepful, and ther is a few dogs that wander the streets but are very friendly. There is also a camel with owner that sit on the streets - arghh! Be very carful of the roads, the turks have no road sense and drive any how and beep their horns alot!

the hotel is modern plenty of places in side to have a coffee and tea small hairderessers and shop on sight and easy to get round. there is a kiddies club and two water slides in the pool.. i would definately come again as i dont think the entertainment would improve there like it all in turkey.. they do dress up and get to know you , enjoy the pool dance....

Icmeler is a very beautiful part of Turkey we have just returned from our 8th stay in Icmeler. It has everything you would excpect to find in a holiday resort. It is very clean you can see the streets getting cleaned all the time, and at night timethe mozzie man comes round in his van and sprays the whole of the town to keep the mozzies away

Icmeler is a beautiful place, the scenery is quite stunning. The resort is kept lovely and clean and there is no hint of any crime. If you could be left alone and not pestered for boat trips, eating out, and shopping then this resort would be a lot better. However this does get you down and some days we just couldn't be bothered to go out because of it. This resort is in danger of becoming Blackpool abroad with heavily tattooed men everywhere and the tired old Michael Jackson/Tina Turner shows.
