Have to try Tommy's bar (2 minutes over the road) - fantastic food and service - Also Meryhem (a 10 minute walk towards square) is absolutely the best if you like local cuisine - try the mixed meze starter - WoW!

Plenty of lovely restaurants close by, and depending if you like Boom Boom bars or places for a chill drink, everything is on your doorstep, but doesn't interfere with your sleep.

Was very clean. the air con in our room wasnt up to much but it wasnt unbareable, you can sit out in the sun all day, you can sleep when its warm. Beach is good and the entertainment was good most nice, bit repetitive but you can go out if you get bored. Definatly go again.

The markets/stalls and bars/restaurants take a day or two to get used to but 99% understand the word no thanks or ive just eaten. The view on health and safety isnt as OTT as the UK by any standard but as long as you have basic common sense you will be fine.I'd highly recommend the horse safari only 30 TL with the option to buy a dvd and cd full of pictures for 50 TL.Also hiring a pedallo seems the safest option if you go to the beach as the jetski i saw looked a bit ropey. The beach is man made and the tourists leave a lot of litter, there is a bit more mither there but it is worth it for the views of the bay absolutely lovely. It is easy to find your way around the place and never felt any sense of danger when walking round.

We loved Icmeler - it was so picturesque unlike Marmaris which we drove through on the way to our resort. There was an abundance of bars and restaurants which allowed us to try somewhere new every time we eat out (which was usually twice a day, every day). We fell in love with Oscars bar which provided nightly entertainment which saw the boys showing their magnificent dance moves where they put their all into entertaining the crowds - they did not dissapoint. The service in all the bars and restaurants is top notch - no glass is allowed to be left empty for longer than a couple of seconds. The only down side I felt was that many of the bars made it difficult to pop in for one drink as they automatically start a bill and at times seemed a bit off when asked if we could pay after only 1 drink - but we did not let that put us off and by the end of the holiday we were picking one bar and spending most of the night there and paying for our bills at the end. Everyone is so friendly - we actually made friends with a couple of people in shops and bars etc which made it even more homely. I would go back right now in a heartbeat. The food is excellent and the prices are stupendous. The beach is set out where it is split into various areas - it is worth noting that some areas of the beach are stoney while other are more sandy, but again a beautiful area which is kept immaculate.

The resort was very clean , a lot of places had entertainment , we are not beach people but it looked nice enough will deffo be going back .

each day the streets are cleaned and the beach combed. This is third visit and we would certainly go again

Resort was first class,very clean,plenty of good restaurants and entertainment.Beach was very clean,plenty of sunbeds.

Icmeler itself is very touristy, catering for 'typical Brits'. Probably best to avoid if you want a quieter/more cultural destination.

Beautiful place, I wish I could wake up to those green mountain views everyday.
The hassle has virtually stopped in Icmeler, the police are closing any business down for 3 days if they think they are hassling people.
Food and drink prices very reasonable, the exchange rate at the moment in resort is around about 2.50.

The resort is very clean with no nasty niffs, hassal is low due to the authorities zero tolerance, seen by the 2 or 3 closed off bars who transgressed.
There is plenty of entertainment in the bars and if you want bigger stuff Marmarris is only 7 Kilomeyters away.
Our favourite drinking hole is the Magic Garden in the evening and our favourite bar with free beach/beds etc is the Cafe du Mar, beaches are clean and well managed. We went elsewhere in Turkey for a change in September last year, not as good, more expensive and not as friendly as Icmeler.
