Have to try Tommy's bar (2 minutes over the road) - fantastic food and service - Also Meryhem (a 10 minute walk towards square) is absolutely the best if you like local cuisine - try the mixed meze starter - WoW!

Plenty of lovely restaurants close by, and depending if you like Boom Boom bars or places for a chill drink, everything is on your doorstep, but doesn't interfere with your sleep.

i think icmeler is the cleanest place we have stayed in..cant fault it.
we have made some wonderful friends over the years, everyone is so nice and love to talk to you, but its a shame the hassle police are now getting a bit to quick to make a decision...
we did not have any problem with hassle at all, we just remained polite, and so did they.
the only downside i noticed was the amount of groups of young adults about in july, after having had a drink, they were quite bolshy and pushy, we havnt seen this before, and dont want the family feel to be spoilt..
we love icmeler, and will definatly be going back...

Icmeler is a lovely resort with plenty of shops and a few nightclubs. There are hundreds of restaurants offering all sorts of dishes - and NO MacDonalds.

ICMELOR IS THE TYPE OF PLACE THAT CATERS FOR ANY AGE GROUP, THE PEOPLE ARE FRIENDLY, AND ALTHOUGH THEY DO ASK YOU INTO THEIR BARS/RESTAURANTS THEY DON'T PESTER.
THE PLACES THAT WE WOULD RECOMMEND ARE THE WATERFALL RESTAURANT, OZZYS RESTAURANT, OSCARS BAR AND ROSES CAFE, (FOR THE BEST TURKISH FOOD IN ICMELOR)

The resort of Icmeler is very family orientated. It's not a boom boom kind of resort like Marmaris and that's what I like about it. I have been coming here for years and it has improved a lot in some parts of the town, the prom is lovely(could do with more bins for the rubbish though)and is a lovely place to walk along at night. Music goes off in the bars and restaurants at midnight but the bars stay open so there are still places to go and Marmaris is only a short Dolmus ride away if you want loud music and clubs, although Icmeler does have 2 clubs as well. There are plenty of small Supermarkets around if you are Self Catering and some lovely restaurants if you want to eat out and a variety of bars around the town. The resort could do with a change of entertainment in some of the bars as the majority tend to do and have the same entertainment as each other. The resort in most parts is very clean. The beach is a grey coloured gritty kind of sand (I don't like the sand here hence the 3 rating) plenty of sunbeds and some sunbeds are free on parts of the beach. The Wednesday Market here is very good. All in all a really nice place to go to on holiday.

icmeler is a great little resort , very modern compaired to its neighbour marmaris . there are loads of great places to eat and drink , it is a clean resort where all the locals can be over friendly , but u get used to it.

thought the resort getting too big, bars just the same old thing after another. still had many a good time

THIS IS THE 4TH TIME WE HAVE BEEN TO THIS RESORT AND I FIND IT OK IT IS FAIRLY EASY TO FIND YOUR WAY AROUND THERE IS AN ABUNDANCE OF SHOPS AND BARS/RESTAURANTS. MOST PEOPLE SPEAK ENGLISH AND CAN UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU ARE SAYING TO THEM SO LONG AS YOU SPEAK CLEARLY. THERE ARE SEVERAL ENGLISH OWNED BARS/RESTAURANTS THEIR ALSO MOSTLY FROM YORKSHIRE AND NEWCASTLE ON TYNE AREAS. THERE ARE TWO NIGHT CLUBS OPEN UNTIL 3AM AND THE BEACH BARS HAVE ENTERTAINMENT ON UNTIL ABOUT THE SAME TIME. A DOLMUS BUS (MINI BUS) RUNS EVERY 10 MINUTES INTO MARMARIS AND TAKES ABOUT 15 MINUTES AND COSTS THE EQUIVELANT OF 30 PENCE IN ENGLISH MONEY EACH WAY.OTHER THAN THIS EVERY THING IS FINE YOU JUST COME AND GO AS YOU PLEASE AND STAFF ARE THERE UNTIL EVERYONE GOES TO BED NOMATTER WHAT TIME.

I have been coming back to Icmeler since 1995 and would recommend it to anyone that wants to travel to Turkey, I feel like home from home. It is beautiful, very clean and I find the turkish people very friendly.

we loved it in icmeler lovely resort. we found a nice resurant called robin hood their was alex the owner and eddie, jack and more they are very friendly and cheap for beer :). also there was a lovely resuarant called romance really nice food we must have gone there nearly ever day for food, good entertainment. there was a local supermarket which did cheap food and water ( drink lots of water really hot) we went on the beach a couple of times which was different from being around pool water sking peddle boats and lots of other stuff. the town is lovely we went in to marmaris to go to water park not really good !!! nothing amazing. there are local dombus that take you into town also there a local market that come very thursday which was good if you wanted a bag or other stuff. we really loved icmeler i would deffiently go back
