thehotel resort was beutiful, loverly trees and well kept gardens all 4 pools have a different atmosphere so all moods catred for allthough the in hotel shop is addequate the nearby shops prooved to be better value. loved every minute the pool area where cleaned daily and staff where always happy to help i travelled alone and had the best time felt safe with my belongings and loved the turkish bath (note) 25 pound a week for bedroom aircon hotel location is a nice stroll to the beach/ tourist sho[ps but there are shops and bars all over down little streets to explore entertinment for all adges all day and all nite

i can't remember which appartment bloack i stayed in but the lift was in the reception so we had easy access to it.
it was a really nice room no complaints except we only got clean towels twice in 1 week and the beds wern't changed atall.
as for the staff i loved everyone of them expeshally casper, billy, yeusof, alan an many more they always had time for you and made me laugh me and my frinends had a really good time because of them. i didnt visit the big fingers pub because i didn't feel the need to after meeting the happy brothers group. i will miss then loads and will maybe visiting again in september to see them. the main reason for me visiting again is for them.
the entertainment wasnt the best in the world but it kept me entertained. the music was lowered at 12 o'clock as the childrens games were finished and alot went to bed.
i have never enjoyed a holiday as much as this one so i don't understand what everyone elses problems are fair enought we have all had different experiances

The room was good the cleanliness was not goot the bedding was only changed once in 2 weeks and 3 lots of towels in 2 weeks the staff were unfriendly and we certainly would not return to this hotel

We were due to stay at this hotel 21/10/07, when we arrived at the airport we were told that hotel had closed early. We then stayed at Nergis Beach instead, while in resort we were told that Hotel had actually gone bankrupt, probably why this hotel had been going downhill throughout the season.

horrified on our arrival at the state & condition of our room.superior room?...NOT.had no hot water all week and no electric for the first day.air con only in bedroon.payed supplement for 4 sharing for what?bed settee broken anyway.cooking facility basically none existant.on a good note hotel food in a la carte spot on but expensive.staff freindly.not enough activity around pool except waiters trying to sell cocktails and drinks all day.alot of people being moved to next door hotel as apartments not up to scratch.we would return to marmaris but definately not to the portabella apartments.

We arrived mid afternoon, our room was very basic and the walls in dire need of a paint, we where in block l and where told these rooms where the best the hotel had god help everyone else i thought!! we started to unpack and drew the curtain back for it to fall of the rail, and our view was of long grass and a dirty patio area. Headed over to the Happy Brothers Bar but was shocked at how the same drinks never cost the same amount of money twice, also our kids are only 3 years old and the entertainment team where more interested in older kids from about 13 onwards, music was really load and lasted into the early hours of the morning!! Next day we went for a walk, the location of the hotel was great but when we came back our room had no water or electricity, reported this to our rep who i must admit was awesome, very helpfull she said she would get back to us, at 6pm she did but by this time we where very unhappy so she moved us next door and we where so greatfull. our holliday was great there the staff where great with everyone including young kids, food great and the people in general so much nicer we would go back there no problems but would never reccomend the portabello to anyone.

We arrived at the Portabello apartments about 5am. We had our 3 kids aged 10, 14, and 17.When we were showed to our room in L block, I thought oh my god what have we done. We booked what we thought was a superior room, to my disgust it was not superior. In the morning, I went to reception to complain, she was very helpful. She offered us to upgrade, which cost

we personaly thought this apartments where brilliant so good that we are going back in september 08, our bedding and towels where changed every day all staff where extremly friendly. this was definatly the best apartments i have been to in marmaris as i have been to 3 diffrent apartments. i cannot say a bad word against portobello. even people from the appartments next door came over to portobello to watch the entertainment. music was always turned off at 12, top class holiday

We arrived 6.00am to find our room door was broken and mould on the walls, we were in L block. I went to complain but was told to wait until 9.00am when everyone started work. My door was fixed because i was on the ground floor but after 3 days of saying that the walls were full of mould I ended up re arranging the furniture to hide it. Be Carefull about your bar and food bills, the waiter were ripping people off left right and centre,coming to you the next day saying you had unpaid bills even if you were not there all day. we were very unhappy about the staff in general there. We will never go back.

We arrived at about 9:00am and we got the keys to our rooms one of the rooms had not been cleaned since the last people had left, we complained but had to wait until the rep came. Once she came she sorted it out and said that we would be moved 4 days later into another room, the hotel facilities were excellent and the entertainment at happy brothers and big fingers were superb. The staff that most stood out to us was shaggy, apacci, billy and casper-Happy Brothers, Hakim and Tony -Big Fingers. The cleanlines of the rooms was poor and we had to keep asking for clean towels and the sheets were changed only once in 2 weeks. Over all it was good we would only visit again for the entertainment and facilities, but not the rooms.
