This was our first time to Turkey and we were not sure what to expect. We found staff at Grand Villa Sol went out of their way to ensure our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. Our room was spacious and was cleaned every day. We spent very little time in the room as we went on various trips including visiting the Turkish Baths. The days we chose to lounge around the pool were just as enjoyable with the staff ensuring that we were made to feel special- which is something they manage to do with every one.In the evenings, we enjoyed excellent food and great entertainment for all.At the end of the week we were so sad to have to come home. We have been looking to see if we can find a cheep deal to go back this year but so far have found none. We will definately be going back for 2 weeks next year. What can I say, an amazing holiday. Far better than we ever thought possible.My friend and I went to Grand Villa Sol with our two teenage daughters for one week. We didn't know what to expect but what we experienced was absolutely amazing, fantastic, fabulous... The staff work long hours but were never too tired to have time for a chat and the laugh with everyone. Every one staying at the hotel were given special attention- there was definately no age descrimination.Nothing was too much trouble and Freddy (Feremez) the manager made sure everything ran smoothly.
JJ , MJ, Sammy, Eddie, Azad, Simon and Freddy made our holiday the best. Without these guys the place would not be the same. They put on great entertainment and the place is very lively in the evenings. At midnight the music is turned down to accomodate people who wish to sleep but the bar is open for as long as people wish to stay up. We unfortunately were the ones who slept early. I can honestly say that we never experienced any disturbance in terms of noise.I don't understand people who complain but I suppose one can not please everyone. As far as we are concerned this was the best ever holiday where we met the amazing group of people. We can't wait to go back next year.

we stayed at villasol for one week and loved it. The staff were excellent they all made are stay fantastic. The apartments were cleaned everyday and the bedding and towels changed regularly. The pool area was lovely and clean. The food was great we ate here nearly everyday

When we arrived the staff were more than happy to help us with our bags. the location was good due to the fact that you didnt have all the clubs near you as they play loud music untill 4am, but they were only a bus ride away if you wanted to go to them.The staff were bril they didnt let you get up to get your drinks they done all that for you, and they were so friendly it was unbelieveable. The food was 5* better than back home and the price was good the drinks were well priced and after 7pm they were BOGOF so that was a plus. I recomened all types of holidays to this apartment family, couples, 18+, relaxing etc. Me and my partener will be going back next June as we met a scotish couple there and they are meeting us there.

Our first holiday to Villa Sol and Turkey was Septembe last year. We are now going back this September for the 4th time. The hotel is spotless and the maids are always cleaning, they can't do enough for you. The staff are wonderful and treat you like family, nothing is too much trouble for them, we were really spoilt. It was my daughter's 13th birthday when we were there and they threw a fab party for her and even arranged a birthday cake. The food is cheap and lovely, we don't eat anywhere else. Even if you want something that is not on the menu, they will cook it for you. The entertainment is great and always fun.We never went anywhere else in the nights. I will never stay anywhere else in Turkey and I would recommend this hotel to anyone. Can't wait to go back in September.

when i booked my holiday to go to marmaris i was abit weary,but when i got there i had a big shock!!! the people at villa sol were amazing, i would never stay anywhere else!! the rooms were spotless and cleaned nearly every day, the food was lovely(and im a fussy eater!!) the staff where amazing fairplay(sinan, semih,jay jay,azad,okan,freddie,eddie,richard and emre)they were sooooo helpfull anything you need they are happy to help!!the entertainment was awsome too fairplay we seen a good few shows!!( micheal jaksons show was great!! and they have lots of entertainment going on all the time!! best place to go in turkey!! and would fully recommend it for any 1 thanx for for an amazing holiday all see you

this is our second visit to villa sol this yr and our second yr running.... wouldnt go anywhere else to stay in marmaris as now we really are treated like family here.... although hotel is pretty basic i seen the maids clean the rooms everyday over a 14 day period who were also very pleasant and helpful...
the food at the hotel what can i say..... Richard is called deli richard because he is the best chef in marmaris.. i wouldnt eat food anywhere else either.. Again totally pampered and spoiled by all. have to go on a diet once again now in home thanks..
menu has everything to suit all and prices really are great.........

On arrival given damp smelling room in basement. Not cleaned in a long time but clean bedding and towels. Not nice after flying thru the night. Lucky to be moved to ground floor, lovely room. Old but homely. The highs: the guys who serve you at the restaurant and the maids. Lows: u get to share the experience of the locals and listen to 8 songs at the same time at full pelt from 8 til midnight from the comfort of your room. we were stuck in room for 2 days with food/water poisoning and when we once crawled out to request toilet paper the only concern by staff was that we paid for it there and then 2lira. there was no concern shown by any staff for our wellbeing.
there is sol villa and villa sol so read carefully, the other one is right next to the sea. not that i was bothered because the beach was not very nice. if you want really friendly service staff (no wonder, i think they must be on 100% commission so it is smile or starve i fear) nice pool and tasty food then go.

We originally booked for Turunc full board but due to screw-up by Gold trail and agency we booked through, Bookable Holidays, we had holiday cancelled 4 days before we were due to fly! We spent 2 days trying to get anything we could in Turkey as we really love it there. Were finally able to get Villa Sol in Maramaris, right next to beach travel agent said, so were happy with this although meant flying from/to Gatwick and 2 extra flights from Edinburgh. We had stayed in Marmaris for the past 2 years and had no problem with the location.
Our heart sank when we were dumped at 7 am in front of Grand Villa Sol in Artmutalan! It is located amidst one of the noisest and most British orientated parts of Marmaris! Think Torremolinos and you're not far wrong.
The s/c apartment was roomy and clean enough, apart from carpet throughout which was never hoovered for 2 weeks and had seen better days. The laundry was changed regularly and the maids were very helpful. We did buy toilet roll from shops as this was another "extra" if you needed more than 1 roll per week. As we were self catering we bought groceries etc from local supermarket just after arrival and on bringing these through reception got daggers from staff! We were "strongly advised" by representative of appts that we were required to spend a minimum of

arrived at nine in the morning after leaving belfast at 10.45 the night before.long journey. Was greated by very helpful and friendly staff. Staff were very friendly throughout the holiday and helped when they could.Also met some really nice and friendly people from scotland and our nephews also met some new friends.
Overall holiday was brilliant trying to book for next year.
