This hotel was very very nice, it was spacious with large gardens and a big pool.

The hotel was very clean and rooms were always kept neat and tidy by the cleaners.

The food was nice but got a bit repetitive but it was all very tasty, (especially puddings)

When we arrived it was midnight so we couldn't see the scenery but wen we woke up and stepped onto the balcony we were amazed by the beautiful scenery surrounding us.

The staff in the dining area were very pleasent and were quick to clean your table and take used plates.

The night entertainment was good with competitions and bingo!!! It was very fun and my dad won a free Turkish shave!

I'd love to come again it was my favourite holiday

We have never been to Turkey before and I was a bit unsure after hearing bad reports on the place. How wrong was I!!

The location of Suncity was brilliant and what a view from around the pool as the hotel looks like it has been dropped in between mountains with the lovely smell of pine all day - totally lovely - worth going just for that!!

You did have to be up with your towel before 8am to ensure a sunbed or you would have no chance, but that's holidays in general!!

The entertainment was ok, better during the day with darts/pool games/water polo for the adults and kids games to keep them entertained.

The evening entertainment was not very good and the poor kids were subjected to 4 "disco" songs a night of Aggadoo and I am the music man!!!

Although the staff work very hard and are very polite.

The food was ok but with just one buffet restaurant it can become a bit boring but certainly lots of choice - you wouldn't starve!

the pool-bar food was good as well but only a limited choice but did all the favourites, ie burger and chips etc..

The drink measures were huge, so much so we had to ask for small vodkas!!!!

Would definitely go back to Turkey and would go back to Sun City - fab holiday!!!

Just returned form 2 weeks at the Sun City Holiday Village.

Had a great time.

We thought the food was fabulous with loads of selections with very little repetition during the fortnight.

We got allocated a High Floor Room with Pool View (As requested) although the view was a little obscured by a large palm tree in front of the balcony. The room itself (Room 915) was quite basic but clean. The beds were a little uncomfortable with one flat pillow on each single bed. Our Son had the "sofa" bed but was more uncomfortable than our ones!!. The rooms were cleaned daily and sheets changed around every 3 days. The bathroom had seen slightly better days with the bath panel coming off and ceiling's plastic panelling a bit untidy.

This was our second trip to Turkey (Turgutreis on a B&B basis last year) and our first trip on AI.
We personally found AI so much better (Works out fine as long as the food etc is OK which proved beneficial at Sun City) than finding restaurants each day. We noticed the prices for eating out a lot more expensive than last year in Turgutreis when passing the price boards at the resort.

I would say the largest majority of the staff were excellent and most helpful and friendly towards us although one or two (The man behind the Burger Snack Bar for example) to be a bit grumpy at times.

We arrived in the early hours of Tuesday morning (10th October) and found the reception and porter staff very helpful.

After a few hours sleep we went to the usual Greeting Party with the Rep in good form (Still trying the usual hard sell though on trips etc) and also had the experience of coming to the resort during a torrential downpour.

The weather thankfully picked up after this and we found the 2 weeks to be excellent (Ave. 78f over the 2 weeks) with only a couple of cloudy days. The mornings and evenings were considerably more colder than anticipated.

I heard people saying that this was the coldest temperatures in a few years for this time in October.

We found the food excellent during the 2 weeks with the only annoyance being that the food was never hot but instead more "luke warm".

The bread and cutlery frequently ran out and found that sometimes the queue for the one "toaster" a bit annoying. It didn't toast it very well either.

We normally ended up having the omellettes when on and fried eggs with pancakes on other days. The annoying thing here was you constantly had to ask for the eggs to be turned over and cooked on the other side as they usually lay on a plate above the grill so therefore were quite cold. We also asked for the omellettes to be cooked a lot more as they were otherwise very "runny". I can see that this being put down to our our preferential taste so can't really say this is a negative thing.

The Snack Bar burgers, hot dogs and chips from noon till 5pm were pretty basic and sometimes not very hot either. They seemed to grill a load of burgers and then take them from the top to put on your roll. The turkish pizza and pasta were the same as they were only heated over a small flame. The ice cream's were nice on the hot days and were provided up to 3pm.

The Lunches were good (Chicken kebabs etc) from 1pm with Tea, Coffee and Cakes (Some of the biscuits tasted like they had been left out a while) around the 4pm mark. The Tea and Coffee did run out quite a few times and the staff were keen to get you out to get the tables prepared for dinner, however.

Dinner we found was excellent throughout the holiday with the only complaints being that the food was normally "luke warm" and the Tea and Coffee did not get put out at Dinner time (You had to go across to the bar afterwards to get this!!, which I could never understand.)

We usually filled our 2 water bottles (In the fridge on arrival) with lemon and orange tang to save us from visiting the bar as often. The same applied to the large Water bottle we purchased from the shop as we refilled this from the water dispenser at the restaurant once empty. (Saving you money on buying bottled water!!)

The bar sometimes took an eternity to get served at and we found that when the manager was in attendance all the staff quickened up although did give him preferential treatment over others at the bar.

You would see the girls having to prepare Turkish Coffee or drinks and have them delivered to their table on a tray as soon as they requested anything!.
I even saw one of them at the bar (while it was very busy) asking for more raki to be put into the drink that he had delivered before everyone else in the first place. The barman had to stop preparing the current drinks order for someone at the bar to make sure he got it straight away.

We don't really drink and only had a few vodkas and spent all the other time drinking Coffee. They did run out of Sprite and some spirits (Brandy etc) which would probably have annoyed a few people. (On our day of departure the Sprite ran out around noon!!)

The pool area is larger than a lot of other hotels in Olu (From what I could see looking in on other hotels) although is let down by the reservation of beds (From 7am onwards when we stayed) even with the signs up stating (No towels before 9am). Nobody payed any attention to this and on the last days all the beds were taken by around 8am!!!!

We went to the Private Beach a number of times due to the noise and sometimes rowdy people around the pool and found this area to be excellent and a lot quieter probably due to the fact that AI did not extend to the beach (Apart from Orange and Lemon Tang and some cheese salad rolls at noon). Pedaloes and canoes were free for Sun City too (30 minutes at a time) with a free shuttle service to and from the hotel at various times.

Entertainment was OK I suppose but found the day games limited to darts, water polo and morning exercise and the evenings very repetative (Comedy Sketch show etc) and also found them quite bland. The kids disco started each night around 9:30 with the same songs which got a bit painful after a few days.

The kids play area was fine for very young kids and the pool table and coin arcade games a little outdated and broken. The pool table was terrible!! The girls tried their best with the things they had to offer and were very nice to talk to. The times available for using the facilties were pretty bad though and there was very little for older kids to do to keep them amused.

All in all it was an excellent holiday in a complex that Thomas Cook rate as 3+ although most rate as 4 star. With a little improvement in some areas the Hotel complex would certainly be a 4 star.

The complex could do with treating their staff a little better which would rub off on the guests too (These people work from around 6am to midnight every day for only 9 lira a day), an improvement in the entertainment, sunbed situation and warmer food would certainly go a long way to achieving the 4 star status. It would appear the complex is being run by Accountants therefore I do not see these areas being addressed in the future, unfortunately. If they are adding more rooms to the complex (so I have heard) then I can see it being very crammed for next year.

We also had the Turkish Bath and Full Body Massage at the Sun City and got the 3 of us (Our son didn't want the massage!!) for

We have just arrived home from Club Sun City and all I can say is that we had a really wicked holiday.

Good food, lovely people, excellent accomodation our 15 yr old son thoroughly enjoyed himself and so did we because we never saw him !

We went on two trips booked through "bloody gorgeous" no bull**** (not me swearing thats his name") and they were really good value .

Anyone due to visit this hotel will have a really good holiday unless they are very hard to please.

Well where do I start. This is the best holiday we have ever been on.

The rooms where very spacious and clean and were cleaned everyday and linen changed every 3 days. The food in the restaurant was excellent and there was always a lot to choose from and varied from day to day. The entertainter were great with adults and children Mieker, Akan, Erkan, Ali and Talan. They work so hard and long hours they do all the entertainment during the day and most evenings.

We hardly see the kids my youngest was always off in the childrens club or in the adventure playground and the teenagers made friends quickly and were off doing there own things.

In the restaurant the waiters were all very friendly and helpful and are always clearing the tables very quickly. This hotel is wonderful for a relaxing holiday surrounded by mountains and the scenery is beautiful The town is just a short walk away at the top of the road and as most things that you would need there.

If you are a one for desiner gear then this is the place to pick up very good replicates at very cheap prices, a tip dont take many clothes with you and buy when you get there what you need most items dont cost no more than

Well what can I say, I arrived home this morning from my second visit to Sun City and it was fantastic. I thought it couldn't get much better but I was wrong.

The hotel is cleaned thoroughly everyday. There is always a member of staff hosing down the paths or watering the plants. The cleaners seemed more relaxed this year as our rooms were cleaned late in the day and the baths could have been cleaner however the standards were still way above average. Resturant staff are friendly, especially Mario, who are eager to clear your table.

The food is great. It is mostly turkish food which is lovely to try. There is still alternates for the more picky eaters like potato and other foods you may find in England. The puddings are out of this world. There are cakes drenched in cyrup and many other things such as yogurt or fresh fruit. The food is repetitive but managable as it is so good.

The location is great. The hotel is cut into the mountain side creating shade in some areas of the hotel and sun in others. The hotel is practically intown already however you do not hear anyother noise than what is in the hotel. Olu Deniz is the perfect resort for this hotel to be. Other reviews give bad views on basment rooms. We were in a top floor room last year but ended up in a ground floor this time. Some rooms arent actually basement rooms, they appear to be underground due to the hotel being cut into the mounatin however our basement room had lots of natural light flooding in and was on ground level.

Hotel staff are wonderful. All turkish and friendly. Bar staff Emre and Ercan are super and made getting the drinks in a lot of fun. Always up for a laugh. The staff are all very nice and are happy to sit with you for a beer and a chat.

Enteratinment is perfect. A typical day starts with morning stretches withe the girls followd by water polo for kids. Pool games which were a right laugh. Water polo for adults then water gym. There is a staffed mini club for youngsters where they did a variety of things such as colouring or hupla. The evening programmes were good. You were greeted by the staff at dinner. Each night there was the classic mini disco with the agadoo and all the usual then followed by a fantastic show everynight. On our last night there was water ballet which was really cool. The shows ranged from music quizs to traditional turkish folk dancing

The entertainment crew were fab; Erkan, Kuytay, Mustafa, Taner, Anya and Marina- Seni Seviyorum, (I love you!, Erkan also gave turkish lessons!)Also don't forget barmen Ercan and Emre- Seni Seviyorum too!

After visiting the hotel twice I have really enjoyed my time at sun city however I wouldn't revisit next year as the novelty would wear off but i wouldnt definatley consider this hotel in the future.

My partner and I stayed at the club Sun City Hotel in Olu Deniz, Turkey, this was my second time and my partners third.

We both found the staff very friendly and helpful. The food was brilliant and we are both looking forward to your visit again next year.

Turkey is a wonderful country and teh people are so friendly and sincere. Memet the mini bus driver who took us to the beach each day was a real diamond, he was so funny and friendly. I only hope he is still there next year.

Hotel was excellent although I would not recommend a basement room. On arrival we were allocated a basement room, it was dark, dingy and had a musty smell. I immediately asked to be moved and the receptionist could not have been more helpful. We were offered another room on the top floor of block seven overlooking the pool. It was perfect.

The hotel was spotless, staff were clearing empty plates and glasses all day. You only had to put an empty glass down for a few seconds before it was cleared away.
Sunloungers had to be reserved by 8am unless you went without and there were insufficient sun shades. The sun shone all day every day (40 degrees C).
The pool was never crowded and was very warm.
All the staff were very friendly.

Food was good but repetative.

Entertainment staff were excellent.

I would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone.

Rooms spacious & very clean but basic.

We were meant to have a mini bar but this consisted of a fridge with one small bottle of water every other day. The hotel grounds & gardens are well kept.

Location was good, close to shops & beach, although beach is shingle & pebble plus shelves very deeply so no good for small children. Staff are very friendly & hard working.

Entertainment was rubbish, I would compare it to that of a very low grade english caravan site. i.e. bingo / mr & mrs / pop & film quiz / darts /the food was okay, tasty & well cooked, though very repetative.

I have travelled to several areas of turkey & stayed at many differnt types of accomodation. I would not choose to go back to this hotel, this was also the opinion of several other families who were also staying at sun city. However, I will go back to turkey for the great weather & the fantastic turkish people & hospitality.

We enjoyed our recent holiday at the Sun City Hotel and left with far more good memories than bad.

The all inclusive package at Sun City does not really compare with other 4 * all inclusives that we have been on with First Choice to Caribbean resorts.

However:
The restaurant provided a good range of hot and cold meals and we were never stuck for choice. The food was well cooked and presented and the waiting on staff were very hospitable.

The entertainment staff worked tirelessly and there were plenty of activities around the pool in the daytime if you wished to join in. The evening entertainment was different every night and typical of any all inclusive resort.

The bar staff were very friendly and contrary to other reports on this site we had no problems being served quickly. Local drinks were included, soft drinks, Tuborg Lager, and shorts such as rum and coke, vodka and lemonade.
Also we made good friends with other staff including the photographer and the Turkish Bath man, Simon.

Our room was on the ground floor and very basic with 2 single beds. It was clean and everything was in good working order. As we only slept and showered in there we felt it served our needs. The fridge only contained 2 bottles of water on the first day and was not, as in other resorts, a free mini bar. A tip, once you have used your water refill your bottles either in the bar or in the dining room, free of charge.

The hotel is situated in the town, only a couple of minutes from the public beach, shops and restaurants.

The sunbeds, as mentioned in previous reports were one of the major problems. We travelled on 9 July and were there for 2 weeks. We spent the first day of our holiday sitting on chairs in the bar. If you want a sunbed you have no choice other than to reserve them. The first week we were going to breakfast at about 7.50 am, putting towels on the beds and returning to them within 15 minutes. We did witness beds being reserved at 7.30 and not actually being used until the afternoon. The second week people were getting up much earlier due to many new arrivals. We did witness, one morning, staff removing some guest towels at about 8.15. I was not happy about reserving a sunbed and have never done so before, but it was the only way to ensure you could stay by the pool. We justified our actions by returning to the beds within 15 minutes.

The beds were also in a poor state of repair, broken arms and some had been repaired with metal rivets! There was also a shortage of parasols and ours was taken from between our beds one day when we were in the pool.

The hotel is very children friendly.

The worst problem we encountered was when mosquito repellent was sprayed one evening when everyone was still in the bar. People were coughing and spluttering and the smoke was thick and smelt of petrol. I complained to the hotel manager who told me that it was the Government who sprayed the repellent and that he had contacted them and asked them not to spray until 2.00 in the morning. This was a one off!

Speaking of mosquitoes they were a problem. I was bitten several times during the 2 weeks, but they were not severe bites. We used Jungle formula spray which did not seem to work. We were given some Boots Deet wipes to use and these seemed effective.
