Stayed at karbel hotel, ok I suppose but very basic but clean, ok if you just want somewhere to lay your head at night then this is the place for you. The other thing is don"t take any clothes as there are nowhere to put them no drawers to speak of just 4 side drawers
measuring about 6x4 and 12" long.
Noise at night is unbearable bang bang bang music until 2.00am coming from the strip which is right next to hotel. Food is fine we stayed half board and enjoyed most of it.

We were very pleased with this hotel. The rooms are basic but adequate and they are cleaned friendly to a high standard by staff every day with towel change everyday. The only moan is that the towels and bed cover are very hard but its not a problem just a bit uncomfortable lol.

It has 2 pools one is quieter than the other and the quiet one is harder to get sunbeds. In our 2nd week they began removing towels from unattended sunbeds even when ppl had only gone to have breakfast. A tip is to leave a bag with the towel if you are only gone for a short while and they wont remove your towel. Check the sunbeds before you sit on them as there was some that were breaking probably though usage.

The staff were very friendly and hard working. The resident photographer was very friendly and took some great pictures, hello to Omar.

Defo will go back sometime.

We stayed in the Kabel hotel and although the rooms are small the overall facilities are very good. Food was really tasty and plentiful, we stayed HB and enjoyed the choice on offer. Being a little picky, perhaps there could have been more main courses to choose from but three or four nightly were enough for our needs.

Rooms are cleaned well and often and the staff are so helpful and polite. A special mention to Romansa, a nice man full of fun and swift service in the restaurant area. The outside BBQ evening was really enjoyable.

We are already looking forward to going back soon.

This was now I think our 5th visit to this hotel in the last 6 years. This time we brought extended family and my mother aged 71, children were 12,10 and 4.For half of this group this was their first visit I'm sure it will not be their last. All the staff (many whom have workd here for many years) were absoluteley brilliant, polite and full of fun. The restaurant and staff were as good as ever, the food was on top form as good as any I have at any other hotel.Cleaners, waiters, barmen very polite and very funny. The great pool area and main bar are the best we have visited.
Many thanks to Zeki, Eric, Sadi, Bekir, Ferhan and Hale. Also restaurant manager Durmas, waiters Mustapha and Zeki. Thanks to Freddy for the great photos again.
The entertainment was a bit thin on the ground (break dancers were brill),but it was still early season and I'm sure it will improve. By the way one of our group won the free week on the bingo well done Glen and Michelle.
Thanks to all the friends we met new and old. Josh and family, Doug and family, Mum (hard luck Everton) and Carrie, Paul and family and many others.
We will definately be back one day.
There was some problems with accomodation which were sorted out quickly, but we heard that the hotel was over booked, Travel agents fault or Hotels not sure

First time to Turkey and first time to the Hotel Karbel.
After arrival and check in you are taken to your room by a porter.
The room was very clean with a double bed and t.v and fridge and sofa which i think may of converted to a bed the bathroom has toilet sink and shower with hairdryer which was very clean indeed.
There is a small balcony with two chairs just enough space for two ,though no more.
Breakfast was buffet and consited of turkish fayre boiled eggs/fried egg scrambled egg (on alternate days)on a friday they serve omelette which are yummy. There is cheese olives cucumber bread jam cerel milk tea or coffie but chips for breakfast wasnt my ideal choice if you want to purchas a english breakfast beaware that it is 2 of everything and could feed two it cost 10tl.
You can by tickets from the hotel fordinner 4 nights for the price of 3 and they worked out to about 25tl we did that the second week as we went easy for the first week concerning the money the meal was varied and we enjoyed it there was enough to choose from and it consisted of soup bread ,meze main course and dessert.
The entertainment we never used exept for bbq night on wed evening thats a must with Belly dancer show after..
The staff well from the waiters to the cleaners i can not thank them enough for such a wonderful service they provide they are a credit to their establishment.
I was very impressed with the politness and curtious manner though that is something i notice of all Turkish people we came in contact with.
Thank you hotel Karbel you will see us next year know doubt

This was our 4th visit to this superb hotel, number 5 will be in May next year God willing.
This hotel gets better with each visit, they never rest on their laurels and strive to make improvements to decor, structure and service each year. 2 Pool tables now, better toilet facilities.
This is the first time we have visited in October, numbers of guests were lower than in May / June, this did not stop us from meeting some lovely people, Hi Minda and family etc. Our son is 12 and as usual met and made friends with a number of girls / boys, thank you all for being so friendly. The pool was cooler than in May / June, but was very refreshing to swim in as the weather was very warm indeed. No rain blue skies every day. Some staff have left for new horizons but some old and trusted friends were still here, Zeki (star bar mananger, happy birthday 29th Oct) Ersoi, Eric, Zeki, Mustapha, Ferdi, Freddie (photos)and many new faces all of whom were very friendly and who we are all ready looking forward to meeting next year. Good luck to Ersoi with his army stint and good luck to Eric with his visit to England. Entertainment was limited as the end of the season was approaching but what was on offer was enjoyed by all who watched.Sky sports for the football but no Setanta. Could we also have a darts board / room incorporated in any alterations this winter.Internet access was 3lira per hour, kids loved MSN access etc. The food was as usual fantastic a wide range of choice, I cannot believe some comments that the food was anything but. (you must live like kings at home). We had booked bed and breakfast but took advantage of the offer for 4 nights price of three half board.Great value. Our son eat from the main menu which was also very reasonably priced. All served by the fantastic restaurant staff.
We were allocated a room in block 9 basement which we did not fancy (especially arriving at 6am tired and travel stressed out)But once we requested a transfer we were moved the next day by Ferdi to block 3 which is a lot closer to the main pool, restaurant etc. Thanks Ferdi. Great time as usual, if you choose this hotel you will not be dissapointed. If you visit will see you in late May / Early June 2009.

stayed at this hotel for 2 weeks in october, weather hot, resort clean no trouble from locals. swimming pools nice. quite a few wasps when we were there but this may have just been the time of year. went on one of the boat trips think it was the 5 stop one dont bother it was rubbish just after your money at every stop. fethiye was very nice well worth a visit does not take long on the dolmus which run frequently and are well priced, found the food in resort a little pricey, hisaronu was much cheaper. had a very enjoyable holiday would go back again even though you get woken up every morning just before 6 am for morning mass over the mosque loud speakers, also beware of fethiye market if you dont like to haggle.

The Karbel hotel is very well situated at the top of the "main" street of Olu Deniz, a comfortable stroll to all of this small resorts amenities. The room we were allocated was on the ground floor with a tiny balcony, in keeping with all of the standard room balconies, but with a pleasant view of the smaller of the two swimming pools. The room was kept immaculately clean by a very hard working and exceedingly pleasant lady who decorated the beds with flowers and interesting designs on the top covers. Free air con and the working fridge in the room were a major bonus as the temperature rarely dropped below 26C even during the night. Breakfast was repetitive though with the same items available every day with the odd addition of cheese rolls, scrambled egg and chips or omlette one day per week. Coffee was plentiful although the tea was somewhat suspect. We ate in the hotel buffet twice during the two week stay but neither of us could recommend it.....the food was poorly presented, chicken dry, roast beef tough, and vegetables rarely could be described as hot. Also for what was on offer it was in our opinion over-priced. If you are going out on an excursion and leaving prior to breakfast service beginning order your meal from reception at least the day before and collect it from reception the next morning.....only thing is you don't have a choice on what they give you and you will not have tea/coffe with your meal.
For evening meals we would recommend you try out some of the resorts restaurants.....although Toscana's we would avoid at all costs unless you like having the waiter elbow you in the face as he serves your food and without any attempt at an apology for having so done. Joseph's is acceptable food although once you are in they do tend to rather forget anout you. For excellent service and fantastic food you must try the Sun Cafe right on the front, close to the dolmus station.
Excursions can be interesting if not booked through your rep especially if you take a boat trip from the resort.....there is no jetty/pier so boarding means getting your feet wet not to mention your Tshirt! and disembarking can be treacherous as the gang plank is not quite long enough to reach the beach.....if the sea is rough you may have an unscheduled dip in the sea.....and that of course could well be head first. All in all it was great place to stay but I would not return as the resort lacks variety of things to do in my opinion.

Arrived late and was delt with quick and easy from pleasent reception staff. Had 2 rooms which were basic but ample for what we needed. lovely power shower and plenty of hot water. Breakfast was the only thing that let this hotel down, hard boiled eggs most days with exception to friday when it was omelettes.
pool area clean and plenty of sun beds and parasols.
pool bar and lunch food were good. entertainment in the evenings was quite good with belly dancing and break dancing, but not on long enough.
All in all great hotel and good holiday.
