The food was outstanding. Lots of choice, and lots of traditional food though they do the whole burger chip thing for those that go abroad and still want to eat English food! Would recommend trying the local dishes though as they are excellent. Soups, salads, hot dishes, fish, meat, veg, the list is endless. Cannot understand why anyone would criticise the food here.
Cannot fault the staff, I've been on many holidays, some All-In, some 5 Star, but never witnessed such efficient friendly people. Plates and tables are cleared immediately and bar staff are excellent at their job and enjoy it, which makes all the difference. All the staff are welcoming and cant do enough for you, it really did make the holiday. The entertainment staff are great (Chico, Tu Tu etc) but Murhat, Gurhan, Gurchan, Tolga and all the other guys that wait on you all day deserve thanks too.
My only gripe is the whole sunbed situation ! Seems if you don't put your towel on a bed at 3am, you wont get one, never seen anything like it! I saw towels on beds that never got used all day and its not fair on other guests, though this isn't really a fault of the hotel as they do have signs up saying not to put towels down in advance. Oh, and the adult pool should be adults only !
Other than that an absolutely excellent hotel that I will be returning to very soon !! Thank you so much for a holiday to remember asnd keep up the good work.

I like to have a good read of other peoples comments before I book so I think its only fair to return the favour. I shall stay as impartial and honest as possible and I have no connection with this hotel other than as a paying guset.
ROOM : These are basic and adequate. I heard several different people complain that they were too small and I can see their point. There were 3 of us in 1 room and they simply remove a dressing table and install a fold out guest bed in its place to make the third bed. I thought out room was small but when someone we met there stuck their head in they were shocked at how big it was. God knows how small theirs must have been then. Our air con was very efficient and the shower worked well. The beds and pillows are extremely hard - I like them like this but I did hear some whinging. The balconies are small but at least they have them.
FOOD: Okay I know that a few people go on about how nice the salads were BUT the same thing every day??? Will someone please buy the chef a new book! There is only so much you can do with a tomato, a lettuce, a carrot and an onion. Despite the OVA being all inclusive our group (and others) did tend to visit off site restaurants towards the end of the two weeks as we were all going stir crazy with the lack of choice of food. Every day there are 14 to 15 platters laid out and I could EASILY tell you what will be on them for the next three months. They do make a sort of baked bread thing in a pizza oven and there is a very limited (4?) hot food choice but take the rice and chips away and it tends to be chicken in a sauce or meatball type choice. Hardly worth the queue. Other reviewers will doubtless say I am being picky BUT when we visited a restaurant in town we recognised at least 20 faces from the Ova so I think that says it all. Maybe some people are just easily pleased or havent been to proper 3 star hotels?? Breakfast is the same old same old every day. Afternoon snacks consists of them ringing a bell at the bar and shouting "Tea Time" while 3 trays of offerings appear at the side of the bar. These tended to be cold pizza slices and left overs from the previous days dinner. They also lay out a bit of VERY dry cake and sometimes dry bread rolls.
As a footnote on the food you will see many Turks (and some Brits) who must only ever see a proper spread of food when they go on holiday as they pile any offerings precariously high at each and every meal time. They will run backwards and forwards to their tables like little beavers covering the entire table with a third rate attempt at creating a little banquet and it all looks a little sad really.
The soft drinks that are available while you eat are water (tap), orange cordial and tea / coffee.
You will enjoy the food for the first three days and then probably be like us and others and start to miss the odd meal or eat out.
ENTERTAINMENT: Not bad but pretty predicatable. Mini disco at start (pop a CD on and kids dance) then followed by either a belly dancer / folk dancers / bingo / game etc. Nothing you havent really seen before. The hotel caters for around 500? but they only have around thirty chairs for people to watch the shows. If you dont get one of these you will have to sit on a stone step all night. there is NOT a lounge area to sit and have a relaxing drink and natter at night.
DRINKS : The drinks are basically gut rot specials. The brendy (spelled like that) , Gin, Vodka are more like cordials than a real drink and a few of us visited a local bar to get ourselves a proper drink. We ended up paying

The rooms we clean, the double bed a bit hard but we have gone to Turkey for the last ten years and they always are.
The food was fantastic for breakfast you could have eggs or omelettes cooked to order, then there was a buffet style with cereals, cheese olives etc and most important the Turkish bread I never tire of it! Lunch you could have a snack of a burger and chips at 12.00pm or buffet at 1.00pm.
My son had burger most days and polished it off with an ice cream for afters. Dinner was buffet style, but lots of choice different salads, soup, there were always chips and they did try to cater for everyone one night we had pizza which was delicious, and they did plain veg and chicken in a white sauce some nights to cater for the english and some nights it was typical Turkish food. Some people on resort grumbled about it, then went on to say its not like Benidorm!!! But why would you go all inclusive if you only like English food??
There are loads on restaurants in Hisaronu that do lots of English food so perhaps for those people self catering would have been better.
The entertainment was fun too in the morning they would try and get you to play darts, and then in the afternoon they would try and get everyone involved in a game of water polo. And they always found time for the kids! Chicco took my little boy on the slide a few times and gained his confidence and then he wanted to join in the mini disco at night which shocked me, but Chicco, Tutu and Leo tried to become their friends which I thought was lovely and made the kids really enjoy themselves!
The evening entertainment was varied the only night I didn't enjoy so much was comedy night after the first sketch I didn't really get it, think it was a more Turkish sense of humour thing but it made my little boy laugh! We didn't really venture off resort that much because there was no need the package was great had a lovely time, can't wait to go back next year!!

The room was basic and we didnt have any hot water. We told the rep and they sent an engineer within minutes.
The hotel staff were friendly and the rep was really nice.
The food was great. Plenty of choice and plenty to eat. Its the first all inclusive we have been on and well worth the money. The drink is ok if you like beer. Both the red and white wine were not very nice. I bought one cocktail and it was very expensive and very weak! Stick to Vodka or Gin!
We found out when we got there that it was the last week of the season. In fact the day we left was the day they closed. This made the atmosphere in the hotel not that great. The staff couldnt really be bothered and you felt they just wanted to leave. The food on the last couple of days was leftovers. There was fresh food aswell. They had run out of some drinks in the bar aswell. Tia Maria and Baileys. The entertainment was pretty poor aswell but as there was only 2 or 3 children there wasnt really much point. The female entertainer had already left. I did speak to the rep about it and she said they have told them about this before but what can you do.
There was a huge storm whilst we were there and we had a huge puddle in our room. This was on our last day so it wasnt really a problem for us.
The free bus to the beach is great and they bring you back for lunch aswell. The beach is lovely and water is warm and calm.
I would stay at the hotel again but would go at the beginning of the season not at the end. Probably May as we were told that in August it had got to 54 degrees

rooms although basic, were adequate for their purpose, i don't go on holiday to stop in my room!!
the entertainment team were very amusing and encouraged audience participation. there is a courtesy bus from the hotel to a private beach at olu deniz where sunbeds and parasols are free of charge. cannot fault this!!

The room was cleaned, clean towels and bedding daily.
The room was basic but sufficient as it really is only for somewhere to sleep and change in.
Most of the hotel staff were friendly and helpful, except for the reception staff, the reception was rarely staffed at all. If you tip the staff you get a better service.
Breakfast was not very good with very little choice, but the other meals were very good, plenty of choice and pretty good turkish food.
The entertainment was OK and pretty good for a 3 star hotel. As we did not stay at the hotel most of the time this was not a problem for us.
I would stay at the hotel again, it suited our requirements.
There is no beech in Ovacik, the nearest beech is Olu Deniz which has a public beech and the blue lagoon which you pay for entry. Both are not really sandy beeches (a bit gritty and stony) but the sea is beautiful and clean.
Thomas Cook were not very good, my partner and I were sat in different parts of the plane on the journey to Turkey and we had to pay extra to ensure we were sat together on the journey home. We were not old that by Thomas cook that we had to vacate the room at 12 noon on the day of departure so we had to sit with our bags outside until the transport picked us up to take us to the airport from 12 noon until 6pm. Thomas cook rep ******* only told us about free transport to a private beech that the hotel use, entertainment at the Talk of the Town in Hisaronu and the Dolmus (mini bus) service. We were not told about anything else, we had to find out for ourselves. The rep seemed more interested in telling us that she married a Turk and that she lived in the area, this was not relevant to our holiday. The rep did not tell us the time the transport would pick us up to take us to the airport we had to ask staff at the hotel. I would not book a holiday through Thomas Cook again.
