As said before the hotel is brand new and very nice. They still have teething problems ie aircons that stop working (or being turned off)

The only complaints we had were the flies in the hotel restaurant there are no fly deterents in the whole restaurant and the flies are appauling as they are all over the food where you serve up and where you eat. Unless you book into the Indian, Italian, Turkish restaurants which are all ok and very nice.

The closest town is Sarigerme with no ATM machines.

The hotel prices are crazy because they know it is in the middle off nowhere ie icecream in Dalaman town is 1.50 lira and in the resort 5 liras , Scuba diving in the hotel

We travelled to our holiday destination on 30th June, not knowing what to expect regarding all the reviews that I had heard. When we got there we were greeted by a friendly atmosphere. The hotel looked amazing marble everywhere it really was beautiful, we went to our room which too was lovely, so we thought well what was all the problems that had been mentioned?

When we awoke in the morning we noticed how many pools - five we couldn't believe it.

As the first couple of days went by everything was fine then we noticed that our children

Just got back from Pegasos, as everyone else I was indeed expecting the worst. But must admit I thought in all we had a good time.

I would not class everything as 4 star.

The food was very repetitive, but towards the end of our stay food was improving. We enjoyed the Indian and Italian themed restaurants.

Room was clean, beds uncomfortably hard, sea view was of hotel entrance and builders yard, pools were great, beach was good, a bit windy, reps were very young and inexperienced and I felt sorry for them being thrown in the deep end as there was quite a few people complaining.

Hotel staff only understood what they wanted.

Local town Sarigerme is 15 minutes walk or 5 lira taxi (which I opted for) not very big but could still get a bargain, fraction of price of hotel shops! There's a market there on a Sunday, there's also a couple of tour organizers which were much cheaper than the reps. Would certainly vouch for trip to mud baths and tombs and turtle beach and lunch for

Hotel - very spacious with lots of art work and seating areas. Overall good.

Reception - what a nightmare at check-in - no queue, just a free for all ,we were not given our bracelets or Tom and had to go back- took ages to check in.

Kids den room- very good, kids loved it, very big bed for us but TINY pillows and even smaller sheet which did not touch either side! Small fridge and plenty of storage, not many coat hangers. Bathroom: Very nice, lovely sink unit, toilet with built in bidet and a hairdryer on the wall.(I doubt if any rooms have a good sea view as they are all too low down.) We had a view of the mozzies swamp! Corridors were noisy during the evening, with clatter from cleaners and arriving guests. It got to be a bit annoying; we didn't sleep well.

Pools - lots of them and they are very good indeed! However, my daughter lost her toe nail on a grill in the pool, so be careful. We were a little disappointed with the lifeguards. They did not stop kids (and adults) taking inflatables on the water slides, which was dangerous and when closed kids were climbing up and jumping off them. They were also jumping off the walls of the larger pool. (A lots of health and safety issues need to be addressed)

Beach - the view of the beach is great, however we were disappointed and couldn

We had heard all of the bad reports about this hotel before we left, and infact tried to cancel, but after we could not do this we decided to stay positive and enjoy our holiday.

The hotel and complex is lovely and very big spread over two hotels with lots of grounds. There is a huge building site in full view of the hotel and it will be there for a long time as they are building 5 hotels and shops here so beware.

Our room was OK nothing great very uncomfortable beds with bed sheets that did not fit. Be careful they fill your fridge with alcohol and sweets, and then charge you an arm and a leg for them, so we asked for them to be removed as the kids could reach them.

The food was terrible, 2 star if lucky. Lunch was better than dinner though, one of the reps told us "At least it is edible!" One night the only choice for dinner was deep fried meatballs (left over from lunch) and mashed potatoes. The hotel manager admitted to us on the last day of our holiday that Sodexho do the food and he has no control and he accepted that the food was sub-standard and he was not happy. He also said that due to this's hotels remote location they were having major problems getting suppliers to deliver good produce to this area.

He also said that he had trouble getting decent staff in the area. He blamed First choice for just about everything else that was wrong.

You will have to queue for everything here, average waiting time for us for drinks was 20mins and food the same. Flies everywhere crawling on bread and fruit, disgusting!

Staff speak very little English and were mostly rude and fed up looking.

First Choice staff a nightmare.

The only decent entertainment was sitting in reception watching all the complaints to the reception staff and FC reps. The day we left we even had to queue to fill in our complaint form as there was so many people doing the same.

Air conditioning was a big problem here with most people that we spoke to. We had to move room (only after we spend 4 days begging!) but even the new room air conditioning broke down in the end.

This hotel was built on reclaimed swamp land and they don't spray very often to you can only imagine the mozzies. My whole family looked as if they had chicken pox. We eventually had to stop going to the mini disco because this was outdoors and the mozzies were attacking everyone. It was the worst part of the holiday. To see the doctor you pay about

Arrived Tues 5th July at 5.30 in morning, got to reception then told to go outside to wait on bellboy which was a shambles, then got to our room.

Big room for 4 people but 5th bed would make it tight fit. Good king size big sofa bed two tier room but when entering room air con not working, sofa bed not laid or sheets on, balcony furniture in room so put them out. Paid for sea view knowing later that there wasn't any sea views, so looked out and viewed builders yard and entrance and to dogs getting it on!!!(block 1) Went back to reception and fought for a move got one at 11.30 got move near pool bar block 3).

Room has fridge/minibar, now my holiday can start which it did had a great time some teething problems but didn't hamper too much.

Beautiful pools, good slides, during the day good things to do (try and get involved it will make your holiday better) kids loved the clubs especially at the main annexe at the start of the palace side.

Food ... Breakfast everything you can do with eggs also cereal was good, milk was ok pancakes snack bar good lunch time/dinner time was ok but got really monotonous through time as expected. If booking themed meals book them quick as people book them early from both hotels and don't go!!, There can be big queues at the bar give tip to barman early and he will serve you quickly probably?

Location good for airport (Dalaman) 20/30mins, hotel near swamp area with reeds so there is mozzies about, don

I have just arrived back from my annual holiday at the Pegasos Palace in Sarigerme. I was released on early parole for good behaviour.

The complex is still getting those " finishing touches". Tiles around the pool being grouted in the evening, paths made good, but still dangerous to walk on or try and push a buggy over.

No children's snack bar so you have to buy ice-creams using TOM watch. Very expensive. Free Ice-creams introduced on last day of holiday. Bit late for us but good news for new arrival(in-mates).

Beach dirty and disgusting, nobody uses it. Bits of broken glasses and rubbish.

Food not 4* quality and after a few days very boring.

Pools good, although slide pool only open at certain times.

Kids clubs very good when you can get booked into them.

First Choice Entertainers absolutely useless, seen better school performances.

Hi just returned last night, on the whole had a great holiday.

Lots of good points, some bad.

First the good points:-

The pools are absolutely brilliant, loads to choose from. Water slides are brilliant.

The kids club was brilliant.

Food was very tasty, plenty of choice, some cooked fresh while you waited.

The Turkish staff were brilliant and bent over backwards to help.

Our maid was loverly and kept the room clean with fresh towels everyday.

The hotel itself was very cleaned and the staff in the restaurant kept the place very clean taking away as soon as you finished with a plate or glass.

Now for the bad points:-

My son and his wife and grandson came with us, they booked a room with a sea view but got one with a view of a building site instead. After a lot of talking to reps and visits to the reception were finally moved. A few days later they received by note under the door that they had to move again because it said due to technical difficulties. Then some days later received another note under the door that they were to be moved again because they were fitting a Jacuzzi. My son refused and they fitted it any way and didn't have to move.

Then the first night after arriving my daughter in law discovered her jewelry had been stolen. She reported it to the rep and the hotel but got little satisfaction from either. The hotel didn't even apologise, she was very upset about it. At the end of the holiday one rep did try really hard to help but got nowhere. Hopefully she will fair better with the insurance company.

We had to pay for ice creams but in the last few days they were free as was the cushions for the sun beds which you have to get up at the crack of dawn to get one.

The beach is far from exquisite which is advertised it being very course sand and far from finished.

The entertainment was at the start very poor with the mini disco for the kids at 8 till 9 then a break till ten to the main show and then a half hearted disco. The main show consisted of a few quiz's and a lot of audience perprisication shows. There was bingo in the Palace but not in the Tropical as we were told the Dutch could not understand how to play bingo. The last couple of days the entertainment in the evening did get better and did include bingo.

The themed restaurants were OK, the Italian was very good, the Indian not so good with no choice or no desert. If you wanted a bottle of wine with your dinner that had to be paid for separately.

On the whole it is a good resort with teething problems which no doubt with time will be resolved.

I would go again in a couple of years time to see how things have changed. Anyone going will have a brilliant time.

July 2005.

Just came back from one week in the pegasos palace.

The hotel does look good, all building work appears to be finished now!! The hotel is very clean and keep well by the staff.

The food is not bad for all inclusive, the menu could do with spicing up. One major let-down is the entertainment for adults, lots of stuff for the kids bit thats about it.

The disco was non-existant, evening shows where amateur. A proper live band, comedy acts and the disco would go down well, hopefully all these are to follow in the near future.

The location is in the middle of know-where, take a trip to Marmaris or one of the cruises will get you out and about.

The first choice staff where helpful, some of the hotel staff did seem to happy or bothered about helping the visitors.

Good place for families with little children.

We were like a lot of other families a bit concerned about our holiday after reading some of the comments on this site, but what can we say but wow! What a great holiday we had.

On arrival (which was a short pleasant journey from the airport) we tried to check in but this was a bit of a free for all. Not much organisation here! When it came to our turn we were told our room was not yet ready. (Oh dear what a bad start!) Our room was then ready for us 2 hours later, but hey after entering the room it was worth the wait.

Our room was immaculate. We had the kids den which again was just fab. It was very useful for them when the sun was too hot and useful for us at night to watch a DVD when they were in bed. (Nothing to stop you taking a drink to the room!)

We had no issues with the cleanliness and the maids worked really hard to keep up the standards. The only thing that let the cleanliness down was some of the guests, who would just rather leave dirty dishes lying anywhere or just throwing plastic cups away were it suited them!

We all thought the food was very repetitive also, but we did not starve!! It
