I can't really see how anybody can miss anything. The pool has a loud sound system all day announcing what's going on, there is the full run down at the welcome meeting, boards up in reception, the tents you can't miss, they are just set slightly away from the pools. all the bars and restaurants are sign posted so unless people mean what activities are going on that they have missed then I for one can't see anything being missed.

well if you are sat around the quite pools which we were most of the time there is not a loud speaker system there, also there is a board that turns around outside the ampitheater, but it does not tell you what is ging on at the pool bar or the beach bars,so it is very easy not to know what is going on...the pancake tent is next to the walkway that takes you to the beach in the tropical, dont know where it is in the palace sorry..

bloisey, we were advised to have tetnus and polio injections. the nurse told us we didn't need malaria but i'm sure it wouldn't do any harm to take them.
just thought of something, anyone going to the beach party (especially if the foam party is on) wear old clothes. it's brilliant fun but very messy.

Point taken lilac, we too spent most of our time around the quiet pool near to the Tropical Spa gardens, much preferred to the large slide pool area. Our problem seemed to be that we had 2 kids who weren't bothered about any of the kids clubs or activities so really didn't go looking for info etc only when we wanted to know what was on in the amphitheatre of an evening. The info was there if we needed it albeit we found the entertainment poor but apparently after trawling through this subject, seems to have improved vastly since we were there. OH!! to have had an evening with Jimmy Cricket would have been a godsend LOL.

We got back from the tropical on Monday and had a lovely time. Yes the food was warm, but there was a microwave if you felt the need to blast it in there. I personally didn't and none of our party felt they had to either. (4 adults and 5 kids)

We found the entertainment to be good. The turkish entertainers were the best and worked from 10am til about midnight. A credit to the pegasos village. First Choice entertainers tried their best. Wouldn't say they were terrible like other prople have said.

Kids clubs were brilliant. Would always say hi to the kids outside of club time too.

If anyone's got any questions please pm me and I will try my best to answer them.

P.S Go parasailing. It was fab!!

We got back Monday too, we had the jabs mi kids too and i was pleased that i did. We did not take Malaria tablets, the mozzies are a nightmare though so i supposed it is up to you.

I got some bad bites and needed to go to the doctors with them, but to be honest everyone had bites and they are all big and swollen, we went through 3 bottles of their strong mozzie spray and did not keep them away. The outside restaurant where we likes to eat at PP was a nightmare with Mozzies as soon as you walked out there were swarms of them so everyone was inside and that was a nightamare, not enough tables too many people.

The town of Serigarme is really small, you would expect toumble weeds to roll passed you, but i reckon in a few years it was be a nice town.

We went to the beach near the hotel a couple of times but someone we talked to went to the beach in the town and said it was fantastic so if you get chance go there you will need to get a taxi there and back but i am sure it will be worth it and it will get you away from the complex for a few hours.

We only ate one in the themed restaurants and that was the Italian which was nice but even though we were the only table in there we were rushed to finish and they were hovering round all the time.

I know all that sounds bad, but we did have a good time.

Any questions please ask

Hi, we are going to the Pegasos Palace on 13th october, I'm finally looking forward to it after reading so many good points, was terrified when we first booked. I'm aware and concerned about the reports on all the mozzies!!! I have a 19 month old and just want to make sure she is ok. We'll be taking all the gear to try and fight them off!....but was told we wouldnt need any jabs - starting to panic now that people have had jabs to go there and needing malaria tablets - is the problem that bad? Any advice on best products to get, etc, would be great help!

Thanks!!

Before any one else panics, Pegasos Palace is definately not in a malaria area. You only need to take anti-malarial tablets if you are going to the plain around Side, Adona and SE Anatolia. As A GP I would strongly advise my patients against taking them when not needed as the side effects can be unpleasant as well as being a waste of money.

When we were there i didnt get bit much, and the first week my sister didnt get bit at all, then she went for a turkish bath and that night she got bit 54 times dont no if it was because of bath, then her 18 month daughter started getting bit,she had enough of it and got a flight home, 4 days before she was ment to.
We stayed and had a great time,we also didnt have any jabs.
Have a fantastic time to all those who are going soon.

We had jabs before we went, kids too. We had Hep A and typhoid. But these are only recommended, not essential. It is totally up to you.

Didn't get bitten by mossies at all til day 9. Put that down to the hotel being sprayed on day 1, but that was it. Maybe if they sprayed once a week, it would make things better. Bought sin kov from the shop, but apparently the mossies are immune to this now!! 5 out of 9 of us didn't get bitten at all. And that included the youngest of the party. 16 months old, 3 and 4.

My tip is to take your mossie repellant out with you on the evening, and spray it onto your table and chairs around you and this kept all the flying things away. The flys are a big problem in the lobby bars and the restaurant.

I would definately go back here if they made the spraying a regular occurance. The itching did my head in a little too much, even with antihistimines and cream.

Anyone due to go will have a great time. This was the only holiday where I've not wanted to come home, even if it meant sharing it with mossies!!

Please try the pancake tents, they are lovely. Also try the meat pancakes. Sound awful, but taste lovely. Leave a tip for the ladies, they really appreciate it.

Also, if you tip the bar man early on, he will remember your order and bring your drinks to you all night. Saves on the queueing.

Hope this helps.

We didnt get any jabs or take malaria tablets, but we took raid mosquito spray kept the balcony doors shut and sprayed the room every night before we went out, seen one in the room and chased it round with the spray and didnt see anymore after that. Unfortunately the buggers get you when you go outside.

if your in the amphitheatre just look at the spotlights you can see just how many there are.. personally i think the flies in the outside restaurant, although they dont bite you, are far more dangerous, and theres nothing you can do about them but eat inside.

I wouldnt let them worry you though its a fabulous place and i,m sure if you,ve got a kiddy your going to enjoy it

Well i know i shoudn't talk about Moss**s but everyone else seems to be - can i just say that we (family of 4) stayed there in august we used avon skin so soft body oil, insect repellent after sun, sin kov and mossie bands and we never got one bite at all. We also had citronella candles. Hubby go bit on the way home .... on the plane!!!!

Wish i was back at the palace right now!

Bet this post gets deleted! but i have to answer things when I see them - I know if i wanted a question answered about the palace i would ask it here instead of going to other forums to check it out. Sorry mods!

one thing that first choice should do for next year is to print out a map of the complex, i think you need it when you first arrive because this place is so big. After a few days your ok but for the first couple of days it would be a big help
