Only really saw groups of teenagers-drunk ones-at the palace in the games room(which must have been flooded at some stage as it stank in the bowling area)
Must admit they really didn't cause us any problems, I was more concerned about younger kids left to get on with it, particularly in the evenings.

We are off to PP tommorow (Monday) from Brum

I am packing at present and wonder if it is worth taking mobile phones and chargers etc.
Does anyone know if there is mobile coverage at Palace and if so which networks?

If no coverage is there a direct dial phone number to alow contact from home, & is that direct dial to rooms?

Cheers for any replies, although only recently took the plunge and become a member I have been watching the various ups and downs of this string since early 2005.

We used our mobiles,it goes to there network called"turkcell"i got a £1.99 add on from my phone network to make my calls cheaper...you can buy phone cards there i think as there were phone boxes in the lobby area!!

hiya yes there are phone booths in the reception and we got a card from the on site shop for 5 lira.

I meant to say,we took most of our money in lira but in all the shops in hotel its all priced in english money same as market,if we go again we will take english, its so much easier and they are happier to take it...

i would agree that we got a better deal with british money, also about the phone, i am with orange and got turkcell coverage but my hubby was not impressed as he was also charged 90p per minute when someone called him. we bought a phone card at the shop for 5 lira and used it. there are 3 pay phones in reception.

Off to the TP soon, only 11 days to go and kids are really getting excited. :D

Can anyone tell me if there are age restrictions on the water chutes and slides and if so how strongly are they enforced

didnt see any signs, its down to the parents realy,if u feel your kids are strong enough swimmers then you can let them go down them.the ones in palace are smaller then ones in tropical,i ended up nearly cut in half on the tropical ones as it makes yr cosi /trunks go up high...lol..but there were small kids 5/6 going on it with armbands on...

Used Orange and Vodafone (I have 2 mobiles!) whilst there without any problems......

Thanks lilac,

If I come back and type with a high pitched voice, you'll know i had a go as well.

Hi, re the mobile phones - i took my daughters mobile and used that on the virgin network - it was fine no problems at all with it.

I didn't know there were phone booths in the reception area - have they just been put there? :o
