I agree about tropical being quite one,we booked this because it did actully say in the brochure "for adults"but we must have missread this as there were loads of familys and children, but it was quiter, until the water slides opened!!!!!!!these were good tropical ones were better and bigger, but beware your cossi will go where you dont want it!!!!lol as u hit the ater at a force, but it is fun!!! its a shame adults didnt supervise there kids fully in the evening s as this spoilt it for us who dont have kids,or even those who do who want a good night out without witnessing kids running riot!! did not see any drunk tennagers although did have a go at one who threw a plastic beaker in the kids pool lateat night!!!to be laughed at!!! free ice cream is lovely ...yummm...didnt have ago at water sports but they looked good...
Please do not post in phone text Briar
Must admit they really didn't cause us any problems, I was more concerned about younger kids left to get on with it, particularly in the evenings.
When does the summer season at the pegasos close? and when does the hotel reopen in 2006??
i believe the pegasus closes at the end of october, and reopens in may or possibly june
hiya from looking at the first choice brochure the season for the palace begins at the start of april and the seaon at tropical begins at the start of may. anyone still to go this year hope you have a fab time!

I am packing at present and wonder if it is worth taking mobile phones and chargers etc.
Does anyone know if there is mobile coverage at Palace and if so which networks?
If no coverage is there a direct dial phone number to alow contact from home, & is that direct dial to rooms?
Cheers for any replies, although only recently took the plunge and become a member I have been watching the various ups and downs of this string since early 2005.
Have a fantastic time.
didnt take my mobile, but did see people using them all the time, so i guess they work there
oh no bad news on your last day all you need is a thunderstorm when you want to be topping up your tan to show off when you get home! i remember the sweet and sour chicken mmmmm lovely! have just booked to go back again same two weeks next august but anyone still to go this year hope you enjoy!
i took my mobile phone with me i am with orange, the network was ok went to make a call a few time and the phone just freezed up but texting was good.hope you have a good time we did its a beautiful hotel with great views ENJOY
We used our mobiles,it goes to there network called"turkcell"i got a £1.99 add on from my phone network to make my calls cheaper...you can buy phone cards there i think as there were phone boxes in the lobby area!!
hiya yes there are phone booths in the reception and we got a card from the on site shop for 5 lira.
I meant to say,we took most of our money in lira but in all the shops in hotel its all priced in english money same as market,if we go again we will take english, its so much easier and they are happier to take it...
i would agree that we got a better deal with british money, also about the phone, i am with orange and got turkcell coverage but my hubby was not impressed as he was also charged 90p per minute when someone called him. we bought a phone card at the shop for 5 lira and used it. there are 3 pay phones in reception.
Can anyone tell me if there are age restrictions on the water chutes and slides and if so how strongly are they enforced
didnt see any signs, its down to the parents realy,if u feel your kids are strong enough swimmers then you can let them go down them.the ones in palace are smaller then ones in tropical,i ended up nearly cut in half on the tropical ones as it makes yr cosi /trunks go up high...lol..but there were small kids 5/6 going on it with armbands on...
Used Orange and Vodafone (I have 2 mobiles!) whilst there without any problems......
Thanks lilac,
Hi, re the mobile phones - i took my daughters mobile and used that on the virgin network - it was fine no problems at all with it.
