Please check with your bank prior to travel that you are able to use it abroad. Last year my wife tried using her card and it wasn't set up by her bank for withdrawls abroad.
I agree you need to check with your bank. I've just come back from Turkey and couldn't use my link card to draw money out from ATM's which I naively assumed I would be able to do.
Hi, i'm pretty sure using link cards abroad has changed. I think aslong as it has maestro on the back you can use it aswell as visa debit, switch, solo and visa electron cards. But as advised brfore still check with your banks
is it true that the hotels are now run by someone else and that the facilities are no longer shared, first choice have not mentioned this, what drawbacks are there to this? anyone out there at the moment ? hows things there , im out in 4 wks time any tips
Both hotels are now run by Iberostar. Next year the tropical will be Iberostar Tropical and I think the palace will remain First choice. You will not be able to share facilities on both sites next year from what has been reported on this thread. You can still use facilities in both hotels this year
Going on monday 7th - kids have asked me to ask how you pay for the pool tables - is it by coins (if so what coins) or tokens, or do you have to pay using tom-tom watch (or whatever it is called)

Keith the pool tables are £2 per 1/2 hour payanle in sterling, Lira or Euro's. same as the bowling alley which is £4 per game. When the pool tables are busy they simply pay and book a time slot in then the table is theirs until the time runs out.
Alex, the buffet shuts down at 10pm then a smaller versuion reopens at 11:30pm till 1am for the late night munchies.
thanks for that info carl, whats in the late buffet , just sarnies or anything hot?
Hi there, bit of a newby to this although Ive been reviewing postings for a while. We fly out a week on Monday (14th)to the Pegasos, cant wait. Ive read a bit about the beach being a bit barren and not very good for swimming etc, is there anywhere along the beach that you could fish from, rocky outcrops or jetties etc. Quite like taking a fishing rod on holiday with me and having a couple of hours now again to get away and try and catch a few fish. any thoughts greatfully appreciated. Ta Stu
Chris, the late buffet is a mini buffet, it ususaly had 2 or 3 of the main dishes that were on that evening, then rice, chips, breads and deserts. it was always enough to chose from.
Cool, didnt know about the late buffet! Can you take the food you want to your rooms for a midnight feast?
lovely , thanks carl,im sure lots of the others will be pleased to hear that, always hungry night times
Thanks for your reply. Counting the hours now.
Just another quick question - did they serve any childrens cocktails at any of the bars (daughter pestering me now)
Also is wine included in the all inclusive drinks and if so was it drinkable?
Thanks in advance
