Hi Katy and Hayley
Thank you both so much for all the advice you have both given, like barnio pointed out Katy even though this holiday was not your best you have still managed to give me some great advice.
I am going to sit back relax and wait (ages) for my hols to come now i will take like you both said some essentials that i know he will like and take the rest as i find it when i get there. I think i will keep him on the formula until i get back then i know he will drink his milk at least.
Thanks for the tips on the mozzie nets etc........good to know they have them on the balcony doors. I also read about the mozzie patch which sounds good?
If anybody thinks of any thing else that would be good to know please tell me if not hope everyone has great hols this year whereever they go!
RE: Buggies......in the first choice brochure and on there website it shows you the type of buggy you can hire and the price for it £12per week i wont be hiring one as i will need mine in airport and my baby will spend a lot of time in it but they look ok for a 3yr old to me to use occasionaly when they are too tired.........easier than carrying one with you i suppose.

Has anyone used the Crech facility at PP? Is it best to pay before you go or pay when you are there??
Anyone else waiting for there letter from ther tour rep to say that there accomadation is changing from PT to PP? Still not had anything yet Perhaps they will squeeze my family of 4 in to a room anyhow
Thanks!
Sam
We are going to the Palace 28th September but we were booked in the Tropical in a family+1 room we had a letter to say that the rooms were classed as a five person room (5th bed for child only) but now the room is classed for four people only. We changed to Palace due to upgrade to a kids den because when booking Tropical did not realize it was an open plan room, even though the kids den is no bigger but does have a sliding door to separate kids off for a little peace (maybe) ??
We stayed last year in a jacuzzi suite at the Tropical. It was one of the plus points of the complex IMO. My wife and I had a king size bed, the kids slept in the lounge which could easely accomodate another pull out bed. It seems to me so early on in the year that FC have problems yet again with this accomodation but for what reasons I do not know. I only look on here to help other people who are going this year for the first time and cannot understand all these changes to their booking arrangements???
Oh and BTW Kelly, the jacuzzi suites were not open plan at the Tropical.
I have recently received an ammended invoice regarding my booking to the Pegasos Tropical. The new invoice shows that the room has been changed from suite 4 jacuzzi to suite 3 jacuzzi. No concerns about the size as there are only two of us travelling. My main concern is the pricing, the new invoice shows the accomadation price has been reduced by £36/person but the premium flight upgrades have risen by £56/person as well as the fuel levy being risen by £10/person. The outcome of this is that the final price is exactly the same as the original booking.Surely First Choice cannot increase the supplements after booking this holiday last August?
Enjoy the holiday that you have booked this year, you have probely earned it, but next year give them a wide berth we have....
Katy xx
They will have basically re-booked your holiday at today's prices, but given you a different discount somewhere on the invoice so that it balances at the end to meet the same price you agreed.
Thank you for your thoughts, I should have learned from last year's stay at the Pegasos Palace in June. First Choice strike again!!!
I am an avid holiday truths reader but this is my first time of posting so be patient.
Family of 5, 2 adults 3 boys 11,9 and 7.
I read ALL messages last year before holidaying at PP, but unfortunately I had already booked
This year I am reading lots of different views to help me find a better holiday so I felt impelled to give comment on my and my families experiences from last year.
PP was very new when we went in August last year, some areas had not been finished and I repect it had some teething problems. I feel if you want a holiday where you are surrounded only by badly behaved Brits, you are not fussed about food or drink, you can stand being eaten by mossies, you are miles from civilisation and the beach is too dangerous or dirty to use then happy days.
I am sure that those who want to just sit on a precious sunbed and let your kids have oodles of fun then this will be a great holiday, however if you want more you may dissapointed.
some tips from me
use the tour team in the village we had some excellent tripe with them, turtle beach and snorkling around the coves, fantastic
As Katy said it is a good idea to take some refill bottles to make the most of the free water.
The TOM watches are a rip off, we spent alot of money while we there, more than on any other all inclusive.
The airport was under transformation while we there I hope it's finished this year, it will make a big difference especially if you have children.
The football club was brilliant, my boys really enjoyed this and the presentation evening was special.
The pools are huge, but my youngest was cut on rough tiles, I am sure they will have been replaced.
Seating in the day and at night was a problem, especially when you wanted to just sit have a drink and relax.
Unfortunately we had a building site for a view, I understand that alot of changes are going on in this area so be patient.
Anyway I wont go on any more but I would like to say if anyone has a question I would be more than happy to help.
I am sure everyone who goes will have a great time regardless, we just enjoyed being together as a family in the sun!
Pretty well sums it up really but I wish I'd found the place in the village that sold tripe, ummmmmmm luverly LOL
I am sure that those who want to just sit on a precious sunbed and let your kids have oodles of fun then this will be a great holiday
Sounds like my idea of heaven, thanks for your thoughts! I'm a firm believer in a holiday being what you make it, so I'm looking forward to it and prepared to take the good with the bad. I'm feeling very positive that things will have improved no end this year.

Their room was better than ours as it had a dividing door, while ours was definately not big enough for 5 of us with no divider (much to husbands disgust) . We had 1 wardrobe for the whole room. Very small balcony overlooking the road.
In our experience I would say the rooms were nicer in the Palace.
The pools were great, the beach wasn't very good and the sea went deep very quickly so watch the little ones. We went on a fantastic speed boat ride which we booked on the beach. The food was pretty bad at times but if you went to the restaurant to eat at lunchtime it was OK, breakfast was usually good.
Drinks were very weak but the beer was good.
Female first choice reps were awful but the 2 males we had dealings with towards the end of our stay were really nice and helpful.
The hotel is too remote for us but we liked visiting the town of any evening by local taxi (quite often to eat) and the locals are good fun. They have a market in the town which was a nice change and meant we could get some football shirts etc.
All in all we wouldn't return as it's not really for us with older children and certainly won't be giving First Choice anymore of our money.
I hope things have really improved this year so you all have a great time.
A holiday is what you make it and were meeting friends from Sheffield who we met last year on holiday to Menorca.
If the hotel still has loads of problems I am going to have to take the blame because it was me who insisted to go there after canceling it last year
But I have faith
Fingers crossed
I feel exacly the same, as long as the sun is shinning and the kids are happy then so will we be
11 weeks and two days to go!!
Positive attitude If you go with that approach you will be O.K.
I am of the same belief that if the kids enjoy it then I will.
It sounds a big and busy place with plenty for the kids.
Please post your review on your return as we don't fly until July 24th
Anyone want to know anything specific, just ask.
HappyHammer
The transfer time from the airport is only about 15mins...Once on the coach and on the road you go straight there.
Barnsley Crew, the transfer time you will find is around 20 minutes. It is fairly close to the airport as you will find out because on some days planes fly over on approach to Dalaman. This though is NOT a problem as because they are descending they give off very little engine noise and certainly for my kids provided a bit of interest. The main issue with the airport was the queuing fir immigration after paying your arrival tax. It was a nightmare.
