The new airport when it opens should hopefully alleviate some of the problems experienced by some last year.

My trips through Dalaman (I had to make 5 in 2005) were fine, no queus for immigration or the visa buying.....the luggage was a little slow on some occasions but try Heathrow on a busy Friday night and it takes a long time there too!

In the brochure it says the kids clubs age groups are 3-5 and 6-8 (i think) does anyone know how strict this is as when we travel my son will still be 5 (he will be 6 the week after we get back) but my nieces will be 6 so they will be in seperate clubs, do you think as he will be almost 6 he will be allowed in there club or not...........i am assuming probably not for insurance purposes but if anyone know that would be great.

Thanks Vicky

I was wondering this very same thing myself.
It would be so much easier if they could go in together. My two are so close and I think if they had to split up it would cause problems.

lets hope someone out there know the answer alex, i mentioned to him he might not be able to go with his cousins and he was very upset especially as there is only 6wks age difference.
I just have a feeling there may be an issue with the insurance cover they have or something.

I think it is a case of telling a little white lie, as they dont ask for proof of age or anything.
I was honest, and said my daughter was nearly 9 and could she go to Wavelength? The answer was no sorry!!

Friends of ours came out 2 weeks after us and son was also 8, she just registered him for Wavelength, cos he wanted to go with his sister and didnt say anything, and they never questioned it at all.

I would say they are all 6, as the activities at that age should be virtually the same, and my 8 year old only went once to the 6 -8 groups because she said it was too young, so I would imagine your 5 year old may find that too if he is in a group full of 3 year olds!! :D

anyone else going out 8 th june we will be there for a week with our 2 kids aged 3 and 4. :D

Older kids can go into the younger group but younger kids cannot go into the older group. As Briar says if you tell porkies to get them in to the older group and something goes pear shaped, the insurance will certainly not cover you. To be honest, my kids found the kids club a little dissapointing. Mine were 'older' 5 year olds when we went and would probably have preffered the activities in the older group.

thanks for the replies i thought the insurance would be a problem to be honest and it doesnt seem worth it if they have an accident, but like your kids happy hammer mine will only be weeks away from being 6 so will probably find the activites a bit too young for him in the group he is supposed to go to, but i am going to pay for him to go to the football one for a few days so he will enjoy that.
Thanks Vicky

Thanks to Katys Clan and Barnio.

20 mins transfer sounds great :!:

Not bothered about the planes coming overhead the complex as we have been to Playa D'en Bossa in Ibiza and from the beach you can wave at the pilots coming in to land :!:

myself and my family were at the costa del sol holiday village the first year it opened and a few months after we returned we found out that the all inclusive finished at noon on your day of departure. i have been reading reviews from the costsas and this is still the same. i was wondering if anyone knows if this applies to pegasus palace or tropical as i am going there with the family in august and will need to keep money if this is the case as we have a late departure.

This was not the case at PP last July when we were there.
We had lunch, drinks all afternoon and then
We had our dinner around 7pm, and then sat in the bar and drank until the coach collected us at 12.30am.

Unless it is stated in the brochure it ends at noon on DOD, then assume it will not.

Maybe some of the first visitors out there this season will post and let you know on their return?

Hope you have a great holiday! :D

Thanks happy hammer im glad you have heard good reports on it im sure he will really enjoy it.

I hope the all inclusive doesnt finish at midday as we also leave on a late flight but like susien said it doesnt say that in the brochure so it shouldnt we will have to wait for some reports when people get back.........looking forward to hearing what people have to say about it all when it re-opens.

Just a thought maybe it is something to do with the one in the costa del sol not being a full all inclusive accomodation as some guests there are on sc maybe as you lose your room at midday you also have to hand in your wristband whereas because the palace and tropical are soley all inclusive it probably doesnt matter.
Havent explained myself very well there hope you get the gist of what i mean!

thanks for the info susien. just wanted to know if i had to keep extra money for food and stuff as our flight is at 3am. we have paid for late checkout and from the costas forum that doesn,t matter if you have you still have to pay after noon. i think thats well out of order as you could be there until the early hours before pick up. and i checked the brochure and no mention of the ai finishing at noon in any of the holiday villages. when i booked yesterday the first choice travel agent couldn,t tell me if that information about the costas was correct or if this applied to any other holiday village.

thanks for that info vicky06 i think you might be right about the sc/ai thing in the costas. when we were there this wasn,t the case but things do change. just looking forward to going to turkey as i,ve never been there before. heard its really warm and that will suit me as i love hot weather.

Hi Shuggy not sure about the wether when you go but will you post a report on your return for those of us that are travelling later in the season it will be much appreciated.

I have just received an email from first choice to answer a question i asked them and they informed me that they have got a whole new managment company for 2006 and they are in the process of handing over now so fingers crossed all should be good.
