As for the boat trips speak to Jack or Rashid, they sit outside the hotel on the promenade I think the trip was about £15.00 each which included the meals, be aware however, the price of drinks is pricey so do take your own before you go.
Have a great time

hi all .Bit of a longshot this one but does anyone who has been to ADR recall if their is a dive club that operates around the pool and if there is would anyone know or remember the name of the company. trying to book ahead /price up for some diving . My obvious choice would be european dive centre who have a branch in turgutreis but unusually cant seem to make contact with them . Im actually hoping it is EDC who operate out of the ADR.
There is a Dive Club - I have a card at home - I will get the details and mail them to you later on.
Brilliant collette. thanks very much . Ive emailed ADR but dont suppose I will get a reply for a week.
lyn my husband went on a small dive with him , my hubby is a qualified diver but didnt want to go out for a day, ellie had a go in the hotel pool but wouldnt go in the sea,i think it was a btec and padi dive school, i dont know much about it but i know my hubby went for about half hour and was charged approx £15 . he wasnt very busy and the chap tried everyday to get my hubby to go out on a days diving with him, nice friendly chap, hope that helps a bit
Thanks Karen .Its helpful to know that whoever they are they are Padi/Bsac registered . You have to be so careful in Turkey and I wouldnt want my family diving with anyone that wasnt 100% reputable . If it isnt European dive centre I would want to check them out before we go.
As you know I have not been around much lately; but just wanted to wısh you and your famıly a happy holıday on the ADR thread. The weather out here ıs scorchıng at the moment and I guess ıt wıll be ın the Bodrum regıon as well. Im ın the ınternet cafe ın the Asena Beach hotel ın OD at the mo as the one ın Lykıa ıs rubbısh wıth only two termınals (unless I havent found the proper one yet as the place ıs so large). They seem to assume everyone has brought theır laptops on holıday wıth them LOL whıch ın faırness to them many have done.
Im feelıng a bıt releıved as Ive just read your prevıous post about dıvıng ın Turkey not beıng all that safe and DD has just completed her full PADI at Lykıa and I would have been worrıed ıf I had read your post prıor to goıng. But she ıs stıll wıth us and very proud of her certıfıcate so thank goodness for that. I never though about ıf ıt was a good dıve company as ıt was Lykıa I assume everythıng would be pukka.
Sorry seem to have waffled on. Have a great holıday

Great news on your daughters Padi . That is some achivement if she did that on her own with no other family member . you must be very proud and a few hundred quid lighter in your pocket
We can talk boring diving stuff now
LOL to the few hundred quıd. How true. DH dıd the fırst day of ıt wıth her but ıt was really embarassıng for hım as he was too unfıt for ıt really and couldnt contınue. Bıt of a shame but they were wıth a Dad and hıs eıght year old son so she dıd the rest of ıt wıth them. The Dad had the same fırst name as my hubby so that was nıce. We are all really pleased for her.
Hello, has anybody stayed in the family rooms at th ADR, have just had an email from them offering me one. They said they are two separate rooms with an adjoining door, and large balcony with sea views, but only one bathroom. If anyone has stayed in one please could you let me know their suitability, had originally booked two separate rooms as travelling with older teens. Travelling Tomorrow Many thanks
We stayed in a family room last year, it is big and we had a jacuzzi on the balcony so you might be lucky and get one of those rooms.
Have a lovely holiday we loved it there.
Just saw this - Grace did a few dives with the Guy in ADR last year - great , no probs at all, very professional
Chris if you see this hope Lykia is just fab :-)
Lally
Thanks Lisa, will do a full report when we get back and let you know, fingers crossed for a jacuzzi on the balcony
I know their is a dive company in turgutreis marina who are registered with padi but trying to find out bit more about the operation that works out of the hotel .
weve had problems in turkey before and as my lot are likely to be diving at depths of 30m if possible I would like to check them out .
lyn have you tried emailling ADR to ask about their diving, i do have the receptions email ad somewhere, not sure if ive given it to you already
Im sure they are fiine , but having had a bad experience before in turkey hubby is never keen to take chances with the boys at those depths .
lyn
Its ok I think ive sorted it . just had an email back from the padi registered dive company down in the marina , run by an english couple . offered me 10% discount if we go straight to them and not book with their agent at the hotel . . so that seems to clear that up .
Glad your are sorted Lyn
Your of to the conrad arnt you Lynne . If I dont speak to you before have a fabulous time
Booked with Portland to go to ADR 31st August for 2 weeks. Booked it last Thursday and had the tickets today.
On the subject of the Mozzie Bands, are these the ones here. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Bug-Guards-Mosquito-Defence-Repelling/dp/B000QWBLWI and do they really work?
Can't wait to get on the plane!
