.....cheers Keith
How long is it from the forms being received, so them being trackable?
Mine arrived Friday, but is only showing that I have created an application.
Also, I sent to Goswell Road and I see they want them to Hayes from now, hope that won't cause a delay.

Hi Mobor One
They got mine on the 1st October and it showed on the system as received on the 9th. On the 10th it was sent to the Embassy, and thats it to date.
Between the 1st and the 9th it just showed that you had created the apliction on line. Patience ... not a virtue I have
At least I know that when I get to Goa I will have a lovely relaxing holiday.
And believe me, this visa system has got me so worked up, I could certainly do with one!
I like the way that a Visa "costs" £30, but this application has cost £85.48. £6.90 service charge each, which can't be avoided as you have to use VFS.

Does anyone know what the average turn around time for visa's is now?
Chilly there is an 'asmithee' on another forum, think he was mentioned here, who appears to work for VFS. I asked yesterday where I should send my applications, bearing in mind that they would arrive on the 14th, a day ahead of the address change. He has replied that it didn't matter which address but I should allow 10 working days whatever for the visas to be processed. I sent mine to Hayes, perhaps I will get in ahead of their queue
Any queries people have this guy seems to answer, we just need to lure him on to HT rather than IM (hopefully from the initials you can work out which Forum I am referring to)!

Just checked the Royal Mail website and our applications have been safely delivered to Hayes this morning
now to monitor how long it takes to show on the VFS tracking system

This is worrying.......my signature isn't "exactly" the same every time I write it (as I am sure most aren't) and God help us when my hubby does his as his signature is unreadable and NEVER looks the same.
thanks Miccie, off to check my friends in a mo..... and your cow is still poorly i think!!
Poor Cow!!
I was paranoid about how we all signed our applications, I printed mine off again yesterday and re-signed to be on the safe side!
Oh No!! just been telling my friend about this on the phone and guess what!!! she didnt sign her passport as couldnt find the bit where you sign... I just don't believe it!! so they will def come back!!

Must be an old passport, they copy your signature from your application form now, its on the page with your photo so you dont need to sign it!
The signature on the new passports can only be seen under an ultra violet light or some such thing. It is not visible to the naked eye so cannot be copied by anyone.
well thats good news as the passports are fairly new so maybe its invisible then
Miccie its not running

good job we could see the signature on my wifes passport as she signed it with her full name, something she never does now, can see lots of problems developing for people especially if its invisible! many women will have applied for passports just before they got married and it will be the first time they have signed in there new name! this visa fiasco just gets worse by the day! last year in Goa for me
assuming we get our visas for this year!
