Hi, took 10 passports to Astro Travel at Bolton, had a right laugh with the guy there, called Ken. He let me and my husband to be off for the £10 admin charge - which I thought was very kind of him. They go to Birminham almost every day to drop off pick up the applications. One girl was going in a weeks time and promised her he would have it back in time. What a great service.
A day off work and the cost of travelling and lunch would have cost us more
hope this helps

I have just spoken to a friend who went to Trailfinders in Birmingham for his Visa. They have a 6 week backlog so please avoid them.
But i need my passport for a 1 day travel in november, and i'm of to dublin on 1st dec for 2 nights.
So i should only be able to send my pasport off on the 3rd dec.
Do you think that it would come back in time for going away 26th january. Remebering that it is christmasl..
e went to london this morning and got there at eight because of traffic but the only people who got visas were the ones who queued from five thirty.we didnt get ours but people were handing out flyers when we were in the queue so we drove to hampstead to a travel agents, its costting us an extra thirty pounds on top of the visa price each plus five punds registered post they said we would get them back thursday,if anybody wants to know more then by all means pm me and i will gladly try to help.
also they were handing out appointment cards for the sixth and seventh november so if you need to travel soon remember this.
:yikes. The travel agents we are using when they receive our visa's do THEY check them before they take them to the consulate, and if so would they return them to us if anything WAS wrong with them OR do they send them regardless passing the buck so to speak.
they checked them all through when we were there and they also took our phone number to ring us if there was anything wrong. im off out now but if you have any more questionsthen i will try to help
Well thats good to know.
You don't need your passport for Dublin if you have a driving licence, you can use this to enter southern Ireland, so you can send your passport off after you've used it in November.

Brilliant Colleen. You won the race, not heard a thing about ours. Hopefully, they won't be too long now. Just have to keep on chewing my nails!!
Oh miccie that was the day puja got our visas they got them on the 11th ........Im so happy we sent them to Puja .ellibee told me how good they were ellibee for that good advice all I can do is prey for all of you who are still waiting I know the feeling .............colleen
Took visa forms into agent today in Leicester have used them before with no probelm. They said they have over 300 waiting and no way to speed up collection service. They can only get so many a week and it will be MID DECEMBER before they will be ready and they think it will get worse. A good job we dont go on Hol untill 12th JAN.. Still wish I had sent them before now. Will keep ringing them each week.
I was going to pull them back and send them to Puja, but then it's probably even more hassle doing that, we don't go until Christmas, would just like to do a booze run to France before then!
