I have to wait for my son and my other halfs passport to come. My son damaged his passport, and my other halfs passport expired, so we have to wait til next week, until i can get my university lecturer to sign my sons passport form, so we can send off for the passports.
Think that will take about 3-4 weeks, then we will use the visa agent just down the road from where i work to get the visas.
I will pop into the visa agent this afternoon after work and ask about the visa situation.
We wont be sending off for visas until end of Nov, and we want to go to Goa on the 24th Jan
have to leave it till the last min to get the 6 months in, have never had any problems in previous years, but with each new posting my anxiety levels shoot up,
] If the worst comes to the worst I will have to change my flight, but don't really want to think about that yet.
If anyone is lucky enough to have a visa surgery on their doorstep, I would advice them to use this facilty in obtaining a visa, When OH and myself queued at the Nottingham visa surgery it wasn't a painful ordeal, in fact it was quite pleasent because we were all there for the same reason and had lots to chat about, admittedly we had to start queuing at approx 5.30am in order to be near the front but the surgery were actually processing 500 visa's that day, so to cut a long story short, Yes, I will be there again to obtain my visa if they dont reinstate the postal applications, its all part of the enjoyment of Indian bureaucracy, Ilove it, call me strange
feel like willy wonka with a golden ticket, have got my visa, hubby was queing from 6 am and had visa by 10am, but the queue now is horrendous with people fighting outside.
