Hi there,
As a regular to Bahia Principe I can Guarantee you have made an excellent choice. We have a 6 year old and have always booked a normal twin room which have ample room. My wife is expecting our second child in July and we are booked to go the middle 2 weeks in October. Even though we'll have more luggage, cot, etc we have just booked a normal room due to the size.
The child bed is not a sofa bed but actually a single bed, although its not of the same quality as the main bed(s). However, our daughter has never had a problem sleeping.
Whenever we have visited the main bed(s) has always been twin beds.
A problem you may encounter if you book a suite is overbooking (in school holidays) and you may be located in the B.P. Tenerife part of the complex. The costa adeje part of the complex only has a few suites whereas the tenerife part is all suites. I must stress that the tenerife part of the complex is also excellent.Due to my wife's job we always travel in school holidays and have seen people put in the tenerife side due to the hotel being full. Fortunately this year we're travelling during her maternity leave, so we're saving a few quid as well!! If you want any more assistance feel free to ask.
Just a quick question. We are staying here later this week and can't remember if we need to take beach towels.
Could someone please settle the debate for us?
Cheers
Tim & Ruth
hi - i have probably missed you, but the hotel provide your towels - we are just back - had a fab time and will def return!
We are a family of 3 adults and 2 children and we have always been able to get 5 sun beds and a couple of parasoles together at other hotels.
Although the children spend some time in the pool the adults do like to laze around and definately need some shade.
Can anyone put my mind at rest or do I have to join the rush at 8am to reserve some beds. If there was only 2 of us I wouldn't be worrying but this is the family holiday and obviously we like to spend our time together.
I have never had to squabble over sun beds and just the thought of it is making me anxious.

We're there in a couple of weeks too... it's a fantastic hotel!
It's about 30 Euros from the airport to the hotel, but I'd take a bit extra to be safe (you never know, they might take the scenic route!).
Yes, you do need long trousers, and no they won't let you wear 3/4 lengths. We saw some people being told off and in one case refused entry becuase of this. I'd take long trousers/jeans to be safe.
Technically, you don't *need* any money as everything is included, but we spend money on... newspapers, toys and inflatables from the shop for our 4 year old, a few bits from the supermarket, trips out of the hotel to the beach in las vistas (15 euros in a taxi, or 3 euros on the bus), the occasional meal out, trips to Loro Parque... etc. etc.
There's no bank machine in the hotel (or at least there wasn't last October), but there is a cashpoint in Playa Paraiso - about a 10 minute walk away. We typically get cash out in Las Americas when we take a trip in.
Your 5 year old will love the place. I hope they have the bouncy castle and candy floss at the mini disco again as our daughter loves these, but she also loves the kids club, the chinese restaurant, the pools... in fact, pretty much everything. And if she's happy, we're happy...

Thanks very much Gary
Unless they have changed the rules since last June you can wear 3/4 length trousers/shorts in the buffet restaurant but it's long trousers only in the themed ones.
We've been three times in the past two years (admittedly to the Tenerife section each time), including last October, and I can categorically state that the buffet restaurant will not allow shorts in the evening. I know as I was turned away the first time, and I've seen lots of people refused entry because of this.
Unless they are on a woman, of course, in which case they are fine!
Or, at lunchtime or breakfast.... but certainly not in the evening.
Cheers,
Gary D.
You are right of course that this dress code only applies to men, women are free to wear shorts/hotpants and did so whilst we where there. So much for sex equality etc !
have booked to go here in august but need to contact the dive school before we go. Does anyone have any contact details?
thanks
Sian
I have just returned from this hotel and watched numerous people being turned away.
There are notices by the restaurant door stating the rules and at least 3 staff at the door to ensure that only long trousers are worn.
Shorts and 3 quarter lenghts are allowed in restaurant at breakfast and lunch.
I bet this dress code only applies to the men ?
we've just returned from The Bahia Principe Costa Adeje (26 Jul) and it was fabulous, kids had a great time. We would like to go back next year but our childre will be 7, 5, and 2 and the brochures say that we will need 2 rooms (this increases the cost of the holiday by 1/2 again!), we were in a villa room and the Germans next door had parents and 3 teenagers in their room but the british tour operators don't seem to allow that, so does anyone know of any tour operator that will let you have 3 kids in a room?
When you have time would you please write a review for this hotel here http://www.holidaytruths.co.uk/reviews/spain/canary-islands/tenerife/playa-paraiso/bahia-principe-costa-adeje-hotel/
Many thanks
would anybody know of a decent price for 2 weeks from 27/09/09 for 2 adults without in-flight meals or insurance, travelling from manchester or liverpool (unlikely i know)
Try a travel agent !
Does anyone know if I can book a late room? Do I have to do it in resort and what price?
Many thanks to anyone who knows.
FLuff
If they have vacancies, they will not guarantee it will be your room until 10.00pm of the day of leaving.
It will cost 60 euros until 6.00pm. Please don't worry though because it has one of the best check out places we have visited.
You check out at 12.00 and are all inclusive until the time you leave. Yours cases are looked after and the Spa will be available to you. If we are leaving late, we usually keep a few things out for the day and when we leave, just open 1 case and put our swimwear in. It is as simple as that! Any questions, I would be happy to assist as it is our second home!!!!
