My GP has signed me off for a further fifteen days which has taken the pressure off me work-wise. He said the magic number for fractures is six weeks which I pretty much knew.

It was different when I fractured my foot as I was able to keep it completely immobile most of the time.

Unfortunately I need to breathe etc hence the continuous and more pronounced pain with this fracture!
