I didn't know what to call this video, it's a bit of a miss match of several things, such as the cross, the newly built Torre Lúgano and the Sierra Helada Mountains.
It's footage that you gather and then can't really make a video out of it with one theme, but it seems such a shame to throw it in the recycle bin.
We spent several days walking in the Sierra Helada mountain range and it's amazing just how peaceful and different it is from Benidorm, and yet it's only around the corner at the end of Levante beach.
The wild flowers and the aroma of wild lavender and thyme, the birds and the amazing views, just makes it a peaceful place to "lose" yourself in.
Talking of "losing yourself", we lost ourselves by going off the main road and the well trodden routes, and the shot of the old pirate look-out (Torre de la Punta de Cavall) was taken on the side of a mountain with a sheer drop into the sea.
It was a case of"¦. turn around very slowly and gingerly walk back where you came from because this route is going nowhere, apart from either in the Mediterraneo or needing the Valencian rescue helicopter.

The day we were up near the cross, we couldn't actually climb the last bit because the Policia stopped us, there was a fire burning the other side of the mountain and the helicopter made several trips with a cargo of water.
It's 2 years since I made the video of the cross and it's looking quite dated now because new Torres have been built since.
The Torre Lúgano, you don't realise just how tall that building is, until you are high in the mountains and looking down on it"¦. Then, you can compare and see how it towers over the surrounding hotels and apartment blocks.
When you watch the video it seems as though I'm showing the same scene of Benidorm over and over again, but it's not like that when you are either climbing or descending.
The road as it winds up and around the mountain, it sometimes takes you away from Benidorm and at other times you feel as though you're actually hovering over it.
It's hard to explain, but each view is different depending on the level you gaze upon the town.
