I'd say June - especially if it is early June. It will be hot and Humid in June and although technically is the start of the Hurricane season the most common time for them is Aug/Sept/Oct.

Mexico/Cozumel Sept 2008

Weather in Cozumel

We went on an excursion to Cozumel from Playa Car and although we only spent the day there, there seemed to be plenty to do.The snorkelling is fantastic. It will still be the tropical seaon so torrential downpours can occur. When we were there we only had one storm at night and beautiful weather for the rest of the 14 days.

Dominican Republic weather question

Hi - never been to the Caribbean before, and booked to go to the Dominican Republic for my honeymoon end July/beginning August - I am a little concerned about the possible weather.

Travel Agents assured me that the bad weather doesnt hit until September onwards ... but hearing some stories that the weather isntr great already?

Can anyone put my mind at rest? What should the weather be like at that time?

Dominican Republic August?

We have previously visited Playa Dorada in May, but we are considering booking again for next August.
In May we have had brilliant weather. Can anyone tell me what the August weather is generally like. Are we wasting our time and money booking for August?

Weather in Dominican Republic in July

Hi there, I have was in Dominican Republic (North) in July 2005 and the weather was great a few showers but only lasted around 20-30 minutes then sunny again.

I was also in Mexico last July and the weather was the same as Dominican Republic.

Booked to go to Iberostar Costa Dorada in two weeks time and looking forward to the same weather again (fingers crossed!) :lol:

To generalise, all the islands in the Caribbean have pretty much the same weather all summer. Hot and increasingly humid as summer wears along. By August and into Sept it gets stormy,particularly as the ocean temperatures get warmer. It is very common at the end of the day for the skies to suddenly get black,storms blow up,it POURS with rain for maybe half and hour and then it's all over. Every time I have been in the Caribbean, Eastern,Western,Southern,wherever,the temperature has been in the 80's and low 90's. We have been down there in Dec and Han and the temp was the same.
Hurricane Season runs from June to November with Sept being the peak month. 2005 was a bad year. 2006 there were none,so who knows really what 2007 will bring....

Margarita

Does anyone know what the weather is like in Margarita in the first two weeks of October (usually...). I've read in a few places that average hours of sun is 6 per day. Does that mean it's quite cloudy? Has anyone been to Margarita in October? What can we expect? Will the weather be really warm, but not sunny?

Google - Weather Underground Mexico- when the list of cities comes up click on your location- on the next page about half way down you will see History and Almanac- you can look at the weather history for that area in May or whenever you're interested.
