I so want to go to Swiss's place, but the flight costs make it too expensive for me, we care assistants are paid :swear money :(

Just seen some good deals for flight to Sharm on http://www.xl.com for summer 2006.... just had a look and found return flights from Manchester on Saturday 8th July for two weeks 249 per adult... http://www.medhotels.com is a good website to book hotels seperately and have some really good deals.

19 days until I visit Conrad!! :-) :-) :-)

We leave for the conrad tommorrow. Does my wife need to take hair dryer. Is there one in the room???? :)

I can confirm that there is a hairdryer in the bathroom.
Have a nice holiday, you lucky s*d. The forecast looks fantastic 77 - 85 and clear skies. Certainly the best time to go May and October. Now you've saved some space in your suitcase, perhaps you can slip me in.
Are you the first of the summer AI or the last of the winter HB. If you are on the AI package, you must post on your return. Have a good one.

I hope you and Mrs Victor have a great holiday, I'm very jealous :D

Look forward (I think!) to reading your report, particularly regarding the choice/quality of the AI meals.

Safe journey!

Does anyone know the prices of booze at the hotel? Are they quite expensive or the same as over here?

I only realised there was a 24hr bar and a disco onsite yesterday - and I go in 2 weeks!! :-) Thought, I'd be tucked up in bed at 11pm when the All Inclusive finished

Also, should I get my Egyptian money over here or wait until I get over there, I heard that they loved English money over there - like Turkey do?

Cant wait now... a couple of friends go out there on Thursday so I've asked for some updates!

When I was there in March, I would say the prices were London prices. £1.80 Bottle of Stella Premium (Like Bud) and £4.50 Gin & Tonic (double not the biggies like the continent)
If the AI stops at 11 then I wonder whether anyone will use the disco. No-one did when I was there as there were only 25 Brits.
As regards currency. Take Sterling and change there. I got 11.2 compared to 9.5 at home.
Hope you have a good holiday. The weather is forecasted 80's and fine (about the best I would say)
When you return, we want a lengthy rerport. About:
How many brits are there now it's AI, what the food is like, what the local brews are like etc.

That's good too know. I'm not planning on spending too much after 11, I'll make sure I get my moneys worth before 11. I just didnt know if they'd go sky high after hours.

We're taking up 3 rooms and thats 8 brits.... :-) I hope there are a few more joining us though!

Can anyone please tell me how much a taxi from this hotel to Nama Bay costs? I've been to Sharm before but I stayed a lot closer to Nama Bay then 18K so I want to check it's not going to cost a fortune!

Many thanks!

50 LE (£5) from Conrad to Naama Bay. There is also a shuttle bus which is free during the day and 7LE (70p) in the evening.
