Hi.
I have a work colleague who may be visting coral bay early march and was just wondering how open the resort will be eg for eating out in the evening.
They will be staying self catering but probably wanting to eat out in the evening.
Thanks in advance for any help.
Bryan.
A mile or so up into Peyia village most of the Taverna's are also open there, as is the next nearest village away Kissonegra where there are a couple of eating places open too..tell them to get to Tala village about three miles inland, some lovely eating places in the square!!
he/she won't starve! maybe a little cool at nights tell them!
Coral Bay is a lovely area and like Jim stated there are plenty of restaurants within walking distance offering a wide range of quisines including traditional Fish n' Chips, Indian, Chinese, Italian, Grills, steak Houses.
Paphos itself is relatively close, 20mins on the bus with a wider variety but the villages out of the main resorts offer a better meal in quality and value.
I'm they will have a great time.

I was in coral bay last yr june and oct and i agree there are some lovely tavernas just wasnt sure what would be open out of season in march.
Again thanks for your help im sure they will have a good time wherever they end up.
Thanks.
Bryan.
I am researching Villa Holidays in Coral Bay, and would be interested in any information and recommendations any one has.
This year I have booked a villa through a lady called Irene Hare. She was recommended to me when I was in CB last year, as I was unhappy with the standard of the villas I have booked in previous years. I had specific requirements regarding the location, plus villa style, pool size etc. Irene was able to find a Villa that suits my needs. She can also offer cheaper rates if you book your flights through her. I'll send you here phone number and e-mail separately if you want them. Let me know.

Mike
I have a new 2 bed townhouse in the centre of Coral bay, please PM me if you require any further information.

its our first visit to cyprus. any information would be greatly appreciated.
Transfer time from Paphos airport is 45mins approx.
The beach is large & sandy with a sheltered safe bay.
There are many bars and restaurants in the local area.
Paphos is 20 mins on the bus that run every 15-20 mins.
The sea is warm June - September as well as the outdoor pools.
Cyprus is a friendly island and the weather is great all year round (in comparison to the UK)
I'm sure you will have a great time.
For more specific answers please ask more specific questions.

Hey folks,I've only been to the Coral Bay area once a couple of years ago on the bus from Paphos and didn't really take much notice of the area(bars, shops, restaurants etc).Just wondering how many pubs and restaurants there are and what ones you would recommend. Also any food recommendations on the TOTK road. All comments appreciated
There are approximately ten bars and a twenty or so more restaurants, including a Chinese and further down the road an Indian, I like ''Blazing Saddles'', good for all ages and has a huge projector TV for sport, like sitting in a cinema with bar service, ''Coral Bay Plaza'' has all you would need, you could easily spend a holiday in the area and never need transport, if that is your bag, have fun..
Jim,many thanks(again )
Fat Mammas is very popular, I think mainly as it serves American Diner type food, steak, BBQ Chicken, pizzas and is centrally located.
We prefer Siennas, a few bus stops toward Coral Bay.
There are plenty of other bars and restaurants along TOTK road.
Good Luck

We are going on our first holiday to cyprus on 4th july,YAY! We will be staying in Coral Bay, I'm very excited or was until i read someone on the resort reports describe it as blackpool with hot weather, is it really??????
I hate blackpool
Also as it's my first holiday there( we've always gone to spain, etc ) are there any major differences i need to know about?
Any advice, etc would be gratefully recieved.
Thanks in advance, Nikki
But part of that is because I think Paphos is just full of Brits (not just tourists), there are far too many ex-pats located in Paphos now for it to feel Cypriot.
Too many places selling English breakfasts, English style pubs etc - it doesn't even feel european anymore.
Combine it with driving on the same side of the road as UK and 3 pin electric sockets and yes, you could be mistaken in thinking you are in a sunnier Blackpool.
Don't get me wrong - I love Cyprus and have been living here for over 3yrs but I am in Limassol, which although it has it's fair share of ex-pats, they are not all in the same location. It still feels more cosmopolitan.
I hate to sound negative for your holiday but this is my personal opinion . Perhaps others who have recently returned from holidays to Coral Bay may say different
