Just returned after 3 weeks of bliss. saw some peopple using the ATM on Monday...

So is the ATM plugged in and filled with LEs now?

Or was Swiss hiding across the road with his video camera and an envelope addressed to 'You've Been Framed' :?:

Aparantly so... Someone was taking money out - aparantly there is a charge of 1% when you use it though - don't know how true this is!!!

Lots of ATMs charge, 1% isn't bad when many take £1.75 even if you only withdraw a couple of tenners.

that sounds quite reasonable,...does te bank charge for changing currency,.. I cant remember must of been asleep

Nope - just handed over 11.nearly12 LE per quid...

Quick Q... Do the bungalows have baths in?

Cheers...

PS - One week five days (well almost, will be in the morning)...

And another from Mrs Kosh... Do they sell/hire flotation aids at the water sports hut on the beach? She's not the best swimmer and I want her to feel comfortable if I take her snorkeling...

Cheers...

They have them for the canoes - not seen anyone use them as swimvests but no reason why you shouldn't

But remember - a swimvest will increase your drag through the water and make swimming harder. Also they make treading water more difficult and tend to tip you forward all the time, so they are not necessarily the best option for weak swimmers :hmmm

I saw some for sale over here quite cheaply recently, as bouancy aids for surfers

Now over to Mr Carrot for a different opinion, since I know he used one in Nuweiba recently...

And in answer to the previous question, the last time we had a bungalow, they did have a bath with a shower attachment. I'm 99.9% sure they haven't been changed to walk in showers as yet.

One of the good swimming aids that I saw recently are those foam tubes - approx 6' in length, with 2" diameter. Whilst they are not strictly a buoyancy aid, they do provide some 'lift' and allows a less confident swimmer to float / swim about.

Safest thing is not to swim out of your depth tho if worried...

Yes, I did use a buoyancy vest recently, Kosh, and found it to be very satisfactory for snorkelling. I didn't experience any problems treading water with it on either. This is where I got mine from.

I got the third one down on the page.

I think Everest is right and they have not refurbished the bungalows yet, so they still have a bath with a shower attachment.

If you have a TK Maxx near you, Kosh, they sometimes have some good ones and quite nicely priced they are too.

Thanks all... I was thinking the long foam tubes rather than a buoyancy vest, but only because I didn't think of it ;) Also seen people use them before for snorkeling, and they seemed to work well...

Will have to tell Mrs Kosh to nip into TK Maxx when she's in town at the weekend to look at the buoyancy vests...

Does anyone know what days Libra organise trips to Cairo from Nuweiba? How much does it cost? Also does anyone of have any details of the Libra trips & excursions?

Coral Hilton Nuweiba is serviced by Libra, Longwood and Peltours reps. We are booked with Libra on this occasion. Thanks anyway.
