Hi dcoops .. I have merged several of your unanswered enquiries with this CSR thread. Rather than start a new topic with each enquiry about the CSR, it may increase the chances of a reply if you post them all in this topic, which many CSR regulars may be subscribed to.

i've been twice to the csr. my partner wore his shorts in the hotel resturant every day with no bother. i wore my bikini but with a kaftan over the top every day. you can't just wear a bikini but shorts and t-shirt are fine. when we went the entertainment was first choice and was a bit like butlins, bingo and miss csr etc. it was absolutely fine though, remember you are on holiday, have fun and make a fool of yourself if you wish! its is the best place i have ever been to and i have travelled to quite a few places even the carribean and egypt beats that! i am going to egypt again this year but not the csr, this is only because of price, credit crunch etc. otherwise i'd be there!
you will always get bad reviews as you can't please all of the people all of the time! just remember the star rating of hotels are different in egypt to the u.k. so a five star there would not be five star here.

My dad returned in January and never mentioned the pool at the CSR, he goes a lot (4 times a year)so has all the phone numbers of the managers!! I will try and find out about the pool.

We fly out on the 16th April for 2 weeks, I have just recieved a text from him saying that the weather today is 28c so I think we will be ok on the weather front.

When I went last year with my children my room consisted of a double bed and 2 single beds.

Hope this helps

Neil

Ps I tried to send you an e mail but the address did not work

Our last time in Egypt at CSR there were no tea making facilities, I remember my dad taking his travel Kettle for his early morning cuppa.

I have just spoken to my dad who is not long back from CSR and they now have tea/coffee making facilities in the rooms, he was in a select room though because they also had a dvd player wine slippers etc on their arrival. He says that friends who were with them were in standard rooms and had no kettle.

Just back from a lovely week in CSR. We went there two years ago and I would say the standard is even better now. I found all the staff to be pleasant and helpful at all times. The food is passable but I don't expect to much when going AI. Did the Italian a la carte one night and was good (you pay only for your drinks) and also did the Indian night which was ok and perhaps needs a wee bit more thought on the menu but at least it is something different. Gardens looking fabulous and the weather was even better. No real complaints although our rooms door when opened looked onto the astr football park so we could here shouts until about midnight. (room 1157) No great problem though as I'm fitba daft so at least those playing were enjoying themselves. Will keep this short and end by saying I find this a very good Hotel in a good location.
