dizzy - there were lots of people who were booked with Louis who were subsequently rebooked (including me), but I'm referring to someone who said he/she was still booked AFTER the problems with them suing R*** were known about. In other words, he/she may still think he/she has a cruise with Louis even though he/she probably doesn't. Though, to be fair, I can't even say THAT for sure, as the fact that one Louis employee told Gill there were no R*** cruises booked, that may not really be the case if Louis are half as crossed-wired as R***.

Jackie (lavenderlilly) has a Louis cruise but it was booked special, so wouldn't be concerned. Interesting to know if she has her tickets, goes in 5 days times.

Yeh Fay - did the Watchdog thing after last time (and the untruth telling DE spokesman direct to the DE). Still waiting. I'll pick up on it again with watchdog in Sept. My MP and Welsh AM also took up the issue but I don't think they are getting anywhere either.
The re-arranged (after Louis Line fiasco) cruise I did get cost me an extra £130 for a long weekend break in Milan before the cruise as it 'would be difficult to find a flight otherwise'.

rumrat - you'll absolutely drool over Milan, I spent a few days there before a cruise from Savona (north of Genoa). You absolutely MUST see the famous church (I can't remember the name, it's the only really world-famous one) - ''breathtaking'' doesn't begin to describe it. Someone in the Italian tourist info bureau overheard me saying I was staying in Milan, and she said I must go there - I thought ''mind your own business, I wasn't talking to you'' - but I went anyway, and boy-oh-boy was I glad.

I have at last been allocated a cruise on the MV Opera leaving from Venice on the 7th May sharing a cabin with a lady from Leeds. Is there any one else on this cruise; I will believe I am going when I have the tickets in my hand which they say will be a week before the cruise. Gill

Gill - Have you got your confirmation yet? I, too have been booked onto a cruise. I am sharing too. I was told that the confirmation would arrive within 7 working days - 2 more days to wait!!!!! I've paid in full so I hope it arrives!

Cruise confirmation

Hy all my actual confirmation and ins came today only thing is they changed the flight, so I had to cancel the hotel in Genoa, and book another in Dunmow as otherwise would have had 17 hours at Standstead airport. still all settled now despite losing 2O pounds in cancellation fees for the Italian hotel and 2 pounds to change buses booking change on national express. I hope they don't change anything else now Well done BigdaveK
