No, I haven't had confirmation yet, should be through this week. I telephoned MSc cruises last week and they have heard of me so perhaps I will be going. Isn't it awful to have this nagging doubt; I wonder why!!!

anyone going on the sinfonia on the 12th june, please let us know.dave
Well, can't get an E111 for love nor money in my area, none in stock and won't accept any copies. Post offices don't know when they will be in stock, either. I suppose that I can't complain too much, after all, the area where I live does have electric lights, running water and occasionally, sliced bread. Also, the locals have stopped rushing outside and pointing in amazement whenever a plane flies overhead
Where exactly is your settee situated so I remember not to visit the area in case my car breaks down? - well, that's if they know what a car is in that part of the world!
Perhaps all the forms are gone because the residents are so wealthy they've all booked holidays.....
I think you can print off a form online ..... someone has mentioned this recently or won't they accept these either?
Alli
Tony has posted a link for E111, so you can get one on line, just go back 3 or 4 pages and you will find it, I also think PeterA listed a link to that site also.
So no problems in obtaining an E111, just thank tony.

ps will print the info page from the link that Tony provided as well, to show the post office staff.
hya all I wonder if there are any forms in Somerset will go and see tomorrow we got planes, buses that arrive as and when, lol so who knows?
nope, post offices won't accept a copy downloaded from internet
What's the point of having it on the website then?
Andy
Post offices should accept downloaded forms. They accepted mine. Only thing to make sure of, is that you have completed one E111 for each family member and one Application for a E111 form for the whole family. The Post office will keep the application form and return the E111's to yourself.
This E111 is becoming an itch which constantly need scratching.
I got two forms from Spring Gardens in Manchester, one for me and one for a friend. My problem was when l filled mine in and took it to the local sub office, the chap serving me refused to take a "tampered with" form. I had gone over a W as it wasn't clear.
He gave me another two fresh ones to fill in. The application form and the Administrated Commission on Social Security for Migrant Workers. form.
He insisted l fill them both in as this was the only acceptable way to go.I have not done so yet as l have not read of anybody else here having this problem.I have had the old type for nearly ten years and don't remember any hassle with that one lf anyone here can shed any light on this, l should be very grateful.
Thanks in advance
Joan.

I had a rather strange problem with my E111 too when I took it to the post office to be stamped - though not nearly as strange as yours, Auntie Joan. Mine was the only name on my form, so I was told to fill another one out for solo travellers - they kept the original and stamped the new one. I wondered if medical folk abroad will have seen the ''solo'' one.
sas far as i understand the old e111 became obsolete this year so the nne you complete now is aninterum step for tempoary cover the other one to complete at the sametime is for them to send anw card that will be in use next year.i made a mistake on my form and just completed another one no hassle.carol
hi everyone, just had my confirmation arrive in the morning post for my june 12 cruise on the sinfonia I'M A HAPPY CHAPPY!!!!!
Could I just ask when your cruise was confirmed? Mine was confirmed last Tuesday and I was told I would get the confirmation within 7 days. No sign of it yet!
Perhaps all the E111's have been taken by Express cruisers. I suppose I had better get one for Menorca next week but so many post offices have closed that there are long queues. Last month there was a notice on the door of the remaining one to say that they had run out of car tax forms. Imagine telling that to a policeman!

I made my booking via rocky at rise last week, i think it was the day before the watchdog program was aired.
So they have sent you your confirmation docs within 7 days then?...........
Just got back from my extended Cabby cruise, but badly jet-lagged - why is it always worse coming back? Must get some sleep in a mo.
................................................
I was on the same ship, NCL Sun, as Colin. Luckily we were not on the NCL Dawn which got badly hit by a freak storm with 60' waves the same week. The Dawn was a bit further north than us on its way to New York I think. We had some slight pounding, but nothing like she got with structural damage and having to call into Charlestown for repairs. The CNN report said that many of the passengers disembarked early, although NCL came out with credit for handling a difficult situation well.:yikes
It was nice to meet up with Colin every now & then (when he wasn't off Exploring) to share experiences, although we did not fly back together as I had some extra days in South Beach Miami after we got back. (Magsy I had too many Pina Coladas, but not enough Fruit of the Loom)
The Freestyle cruise format of NCL was very compatible with being a 'single traveller' and everyone was very friendly and easy to mix with. The cleanliness, food choice / quality, entertainment, drinks cost and staff helpfulness all exceeded my expectations. Need to take care with shore excursions by reading up beforehand as there are some duff ones, but generally I thought they were good value at average of $50 for a 4/5 hr excursion inc admissions etc.
Overall experience for me, as one of the 'three' known DE cruisers to date, was fantastic and I must record my thanks to DE for the opportunity and to Rxxx for the £2,000 subsidy, which we recon it must have cost them for a Cabby cruise. Also I was happy with the quality / value of the upgraded cabin and extra hotel costs that I paid for and they arranged.
At that subsidised cost, and with the numbers involved, it's easy to see why Cabby cruise allocations are rarer than 'hens teeth'. Whilst it was, to say the least, not easy to get any type of cruise booking made I hope that our little adventures do demonstrate that it's not just a dream and that persistence will win in the end.
So don't give up - now where did I put that second lot of DE coupons .
Chris.
Pleased to hear you had a great time and were on the right ship at the right time! Looking forward to hearing more and seeing pictures! Have you become a cruise addict?
An immediate answer not required! I know from experience that jet lag really does exist! Hope you don't have to rush back to work this week!
Take care and rest up!
Congratulations Chris on arriving home safely. We know Colin had a great time and it's brill to hear that you had a great time too. Hope the jet lag does not last too long.
