I offered to share without even being asked......but was assured there was no need!
I did say another bloke with a sense of humour, but would be willing to consider a blonde female Swedish masseuse if one had applied.
I`d probably end up with a builder called Dave who had smelly feet and halitosis!
Apologies to any builders named Dave.
No one rang me today to ask me for my decision......suprised?????
But never mind that....I am moved to discover that I am no longer a New User, I have a star. Wow...so I have achieved something. Shame they cant be made into little ship symbols, cos that might be the closest I get.
Bad news I'm affraid. In the last two hours Manchester Police have found the body of male. The body was discovered in parkland on the fringes of the Timperley area. The police have not as yet identified the body but the sergeant at the scene said, "I have never seen such a look of terror on a body in all my 30 years in the police". I guess you're thinking what I am ...
I fear the worst may have happened to our friend. Does anybody know what Phil looks (looked?) like?
SA
Very interesting to hear what you have been told re the second cruise. I will stick out for mine. Do not see how they can get out of it as for each cruise the vouchers were saved and there was nothing in the terms and conditions to say only one application per person. Thanks also to other members for the welcome. I feel I am amongst friends!
Brownviking
There is another HT member Lavenderlill who has been confirmed 2 cruises. But I tried very hard to persuade them not to penalise me for having 2 and treat my 2nd as my 1st but couldnt.
Did you get and accept your original allocated cruises?
Thought it was time I had another dose of depression, so here I am. Is that right, a cheque for £175 as compensation? Now I am depressed!
I didn't get my 21 day call, so I phoned the DE a week ago and the nice lady I spoke to told me we are now looking at 6 to 8 weeks! Said she'd contact R***, but we were still looking at 6 - 8 weeks. Wonder if then I'll be offered £175? Hope not - that's hardly a suitable replacement for my cancelled South American cruise! Luckily I'm only 71 and I plan to live for another 10 years so I might still get a cruise in time!
Talking of time, it's time for a whisky now. It seems I always feel like one after reading the comments on these pages!
Bye for now! John
Brownviking do not jest. The safe return of Phil is all we want to hear about. Not the body count of Manchester. The safe return of Phil with a confirmed cruise would be the ultimate achievement. When I read your post NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO could be heard the other side of Maidstone(about 18 miles away).
Had two separate letters after sending off vouchers. The 1st cruise allocation was for the Med and the 2nd cruise allocation was a Carribean cruise. I then heard absolutely nothing from them so at the beginning of 2005 contacted R... by email to see what on earth was going on. About 3 weeks later had a phone call offering me a cruise on 24th Oct on MSC Melody which I accepted. When asked about 2nd cruise allocation (the Carribean) he was very negative!

Dizzy
ps chin up, show that true British spirit that got us through 2 world wars, the Falklands and the Middle East (plus all the history i left out).
Thanks Magsy for pointing out my major error (pm) it was not Brownviking, but SilverArrow who i should have been addressing. (2 glasses of white wine and i'm....................)
Don't worry Dizzy, anyone can make a mistake! I do wish we would hear from Phil though. Perhaps he had a hellish day, maybe his train is delayed, maybe he is out celebrating! Here's hoping it is the latter!
dizzy
I'm not really that depressed - maybe a bit pee'd off but this site keeps me sort of sane!
I signed up when I got my call to say my 12 Feb cruise was no 'longer available'. I was depressed then!
But this is a great place to let off a bit of steam and find out what's going on. It put me on my guard not to accept any silly alternatives they try to push on us, as well as some useful contacts! Only thing it didn't do was get me a cruise, but I'm still hopeful on that one!! Haven't seen any posts from her lately, but Alli from Bristol said she had good vibes so all I have to do is be patient!!
Magsy - I'll get back to you as soon as I work out how to send a PM!
Time for another whisky - not for depression, but 'cos I enjoy one!
Cheers!
Does anybody know what Phil looks (looked?) like?
No, but was the person holding a brochure in one hand and a bottle of Scotch in the other?
If so, can I have the brochure, because mine never arrived....Ta!
Caring, sharing TonyW
TonyW you are awful, but I like you. A nervous laugh, nay cackle has just woken the household after I read your post. Come in Phil, where are you???????????
There is always the possability that Phil is in Genoa on a "standby booking". He wishes.........
Or he has rung the doorbell but there is a 6-8 weeks waiting time before they answer!
Yes, Borismax - that's it ! ........No thinking time allowed - Must make instant decision, if you don't go now you won't get another chance. He'll be cruising along in a balcony suite somewhere in the med and has been forbidden to communicate by normal means. Maybe he is in Libya.
Thank you lovely beings. This is why I love the twilight zone, your humour comes out in the witching hour.
He may be on a Caribbean cruise as a result of his visit.
Having looked at the times people have posted, are we all insomniacs?
