Hi Citizen,

Yes they did change flight shame really would sooner have had 06.35 flight I know it's early morning but roads are clear to get to airport at that time, with 09.50 flight we will hit all the morning rush hour traffic, never mind it could be worst.

Hi Diane,

Just a thought, what about using the "day before check in service" that First Choice offer.
We are going to Mcr the day before we fly and using this service. With the DP being a premier hotel it does not cost a penny!!
We have used this service before and believe me it is so worth it.

Staying the night before we fly at a hotel as well, just makes the whole holiday a little bit more special.

Hi Citizen,

The day before check-in service sounds a great idea (never used check-in service before) I think we will give it a try!!! I forgot all about premier offering this service we may as well use it if it's included in the premier package :)
Lucky you :D with the hotel what a great start to your holiday :) .

We live in Manchester (about 20 mins. from airport) so won't need the hotel,

Thanks for reminding me about the check-in service.

Counting the day's........

Hi Diane.

Glad you are going to use the day before check in service, it makes things so much simpler,no queing at check in on the day, just sail through passport control with you hand luggage!!!

Two new reviews on Trip Advisor both 5*, that makes 28 reviews,
24 giving it a 5 out of 5 and the other for 4 out of 5. It still has the highest rating on reviews of any hotel in Turkey.

Just booked this hotel for August 08 and cannot wait. We are going to Xanadu this year and it will be our first time to Turkey.

My friends and even my travel agent said you havent tried Turkey yet and are already booking for next year. How do you know you will like it?

I told them the sun will be out and have a look at the hotels i will be going to, i know i will love it.

The reviews are fantastic. If they are coming out better than Titanic it must be amazing. We are wondering about next Easter holidays. Do you think it will be hot enough to swim in the sea in April? Barut Lara also has top reviews but it isn't listed with the Antalya hotels on the previously mentioned website. Have a friend who keeps going back to Xanadu who says it's brilliant. They don't do good child prices though. Our eldest will be 13 in December so counts as an adult in many places. Spoilt for choice in this part of Turkey!

Hi wendy, what dates did you book for the delphin in the end ??
hi emma, we have got a child price for our son this August at the limak lara and he is 14 and the barut go up to 14 in the hotel and 16 in the residence!!
We were at the delphin this easter and people were swimming in the sea but it was not very warm in the water but the temperatures are nice and hot on the beach. We are going to the barut next easter and we love to go at that time of year to recharge the batteries after winter!!

Hi Violet

Funny enough we booked for the 3rd of August for two weeks as this fitted in with my husbands shift pattern ( he works for British Airways). So at least you can tell your son there will be one teenager to go down the waterslides with who speaks english. Hope he like bowling as well.!

It will seem a bit strange as for the last 18 years my mum and dad and elder daughter have always been with us, and next year they wont. But i know we will love the Delphin Palace, and the sun will be shining every day.

Hi Wendy,
I am pleased you will be there at the same time as us, it is good to know like you say that someone of the same age will be there. I do not think it is a problem though as many guests this year have booked again for next year and maybe us brits will not be in the minority next year!!
Our son is 15 in march so similar age to your daughter, he mixes well with girls and enjoyed going to the disco with the 2 sisters at easter at the delphin. We are going in 7 weeks to the limak lara but not many english have reported on the hotel but it looks good on the german sites and the hotel is becoming popular. Which airport do you fly from?? we are flying with firstchoice from manchester.

Go to Tripadvisor there are lots and lots of reveiws about the Delphin. I am a bit confused about the two hotels...we have booked for xmas at the delphin palace deluxe resort in Lara, and found a site that i think has confused its reviews and tours with the two hotels, because the delphin palace rooms look better than than the deluxe resort ones, yet the deluxe is more expensive?
is there anyone who has stayed at the deluxe resort and can tell us anything about it.

Hi,

Just a little confused :?
I have already booked for the Delphin Palace with first choice for july (only 3 week's to go :D ) this year so I have been reading all the reviews ect, it sounds so good I have been thinking about booking for next year I have been looking with first choice & thomas cook over the last few month's comparing price's ect. Yesterday when I went on the thomas cook web site the Delphin Palace is no longer available for this year or next year (Delphin not even coming up in a general search) seem's strange to me  I went on the site last week & they had lot's of dates/rooms left so surely they have not sold out within a week
I just hope thomas cook have not withdrawn from this hotel, if so why?????

Can anyone shed any light on this?

Hi amy.
The delphin is still coming up for easter 2008, maybe it has sold out, it as been sold out for this summer for quite a while. we are going again next august and we booked with eclipse part of first choice and all the standard rooms have been gone for some time with them!
Lots of people have been and are re-booking it and the tour operators may have not realized it would be so popular and not reserved lots of rooms. It truly is a wonderful hotel and you will have a great time!!
We are going to the limak in 7 weeks which is a couple of hotels down from the delphin and I am getting excited about that hotel having read many german reviews translated to english.

In first choice they call it the delphin palace deluxe but it is the delphin palace which is in lara, the other hotel is not in lara and nearer to antalya.
Go on the comert hotel website and you will see both hotels.
Just a word about the winter season at the delphin- It is not 24 hour all-inclusive and if you go on the site look for the winter concept and you will see what is included, which is local branded drinks and no room service etc. I had a problem when we went at easter and had to contact trading standards to help sort out the problem because we had booked and the Thomas cook brochure said 24 hour all inclusive etc . Firstchoice now clearly have this stated in their brochure. The hotel prices for drinks is expensive so i would suggest that you take a couple of bottles of duty free,( you will have mixers and beer still in the mini bar!! ) if you have a favourite tipple. With it being xmas it will be a wonderful hotel to stay in because the service is second to non and it is so cosy and luxurious!

Great review's you've posted about the Delphin sounds wonderful, :D Can't wait to go!

I am sure the Limak will be just has good I look forward to your review :)

Can I ask if you know anything about the kid's club at the Delphin? (we have a 7 year old daughter)

Thanks Diane.

Hi Violet,
Yes i have looked at their website its all very confusing to say the least. Firstchoice have it down as the delphin palace deluxe resort when in fact its the delphin palace is it not?I did read about the winter service and am not bothered about room service but are you saying you have to pay for ALL your drinks as well? I am looking at Firstchoice brochure now which is the 2nd edition from oct 2007 to april 2008 and it states all inclusive 24hr! help!
