Yeah you can - But make sure the exchange rate they use is ok or else you might end up paying way over the odds for it....
If you are buying at Dalaman on arrival you can buy as many as you want.
Just remember you can only bring 200 per person back.
weve just come back from turkey and brought 3000 back
Fiz shhhhhhhhhh you never know who's watching this topic
is it best to buy southern comfort and morgans spice rum at glasgow on way out or at dalaman airport on arrival seen as the tropical don't have any.hubby and brother won't drink anything else thanks
sorry robert
Morning H/T. Would it be best to buy our ciggies at Manchester airport, on the plane, or at Dalaman airport? I have read so many differant reports that i dont know what to do. One more sleep then Icmeler here we come. I promise to write my report when we arrive home folks xxxx Anna.
Depends what brand you want,
Any will do Robert, plus rolling tobaco and ciggies for pressies. Dont know what to do about my perfume either .
wherever you decide to buy your ciggies/baccy, don't be tempted to buy the baccy in the various markets. Price is good, 7 packs Golden virginia for £10, but it is truly awful stuff.
I bought my GV at Manchester £55 for 20 packs, wifey bought her cigs at bodrum airport for £24 for 400 Lambert &butler.
I assume prices are same at dalaman.

Rather than repeat it all, there is a massive ciggy topic somwhere in the forum, perfumes, I would get at home, don't buy any in the resorts because it is all fake and smells of Camel
Thank you , i'm sure i'll find the topic somewhere. All take care. Bye Anna. xxxxx
they were stopped and the security at X ray at Dalaman made them open their cases. they had about 1,000 each in the cases.
there was a lot of cafuffle etc and opening and rescanning of cases and phone calls etc.
I think they got away with it somehow, but by god they looked scared we were wondering how many were taken off them, but it looked like they were allowed to keep them.
I'd be too scared its just not worth it.
Its strange they did not bother with us?
I have always been led to believe that what they look for in the suitcases is not so much the amount of fags you are taking out, but whether the fags you have hidden have been legally bought or have been bought on the black market - hence avoiding Turkish taxation. If the cigarettes you have bought in resort dont have the paper tax seal on them they illegal and they are the ones that are going to land you in hot water
I was under that impression too Suki, and certainly a few times they have commented on the amount in our suitcases - but fine with the knowledge that they were turkish cigs.
just booked up for turkey in may ...looking forward to it...can anyone out there give me any idea about baccy/fags and booze allowance..?..
