Cynical is my middle name,
I have just tried going through the booking process for you and I get the message "the route is for sale until the 5th July 2009, this would imply that they are not continuing with these flights.
Try Wizzair.com, they are offering flights arround september and prices are quite reasonable (£50 - 90)
Gower
Thanks Gower - will do.
Just been on easyjet's website looking at flights to england from Belfast for next week and there's a message on the home page saying that winter flights from gatwick have been released with the rest to follow over the next couple months.
When flying with easyjet or any other low cost carrier don't rely on them for buying food as they run out. I did a 4 our flight with them and could only buy pringles and chocolate. Make sure you take your own.
Thank you Marg
Around Christmas time
Thanks Snowyboy
Just getting back to my Easyjet and API query, while I was at the airport, I asked at EJs sales/services desk, explained to the lady my predicament and her words were 'we collect the information when you check in' - no timescales, nothing else.
Again on the API problem, I booked some further flights to Dalaman today with Easyjet and as soon as payment was made the website asked for my API so the problem must be with existing bookings. Fortunately my passport details were already contained in drop-down option boxes to 'use previously supplied details' so it looks as though Easyjet have added my API to my previous booking as requested
Yes i think you are right because I booked early the rules were not out then but some who booked just after me the API info came out. Sorted now as I have an e-mail comfirming they have the info.
I think if I cancel my flight I am not due a refund and will incur a charge to cancel. Would it be possible for my husband and son to travel without me, even though my name is the lead name on the booking.
I would phone easyjet but they charge 65 p per minute.
I think you really need to speak to Easyjet. You could email them and explain? The problem with making changes to your flight dates in the case of your husband and son is that the airline will charge today's prices for the new flight rather than the price paid originally. Is there any possibility that you could claim on your insurance for the flights (depending of course on why you are unable to travel and whether this is covered by your policy) and then re-book new flights for your husband and son?
Your husband and son can definately travel without you, I had a booking for 3 people and in the end only 2 travelled. You will need to check with EJ to see which is the best way about changing the return flights.
If you email Easyjet they usually get back pretty quick, at least they have whenever I have done it. I can't see any problem in them travelling without you.
I agree, email is answered very quickly in my experience
Hypoxic Harold: Hubby and I have never had the problem of food running out when we've flown with Easyjet. Maybe we've just been lucky or could be that we make sure we et to aiport before check in opens so are in first boarding group A which means we usually sit near front of plane. Thanks for the warning though.
Also, will my hubby be allowed to listen to music on his ipod itouch or are they banned due to having wireless in them? Listening to music doesn't need the wireless to be switched on, I think the wireless is only used when he's using it to go on the internet. Neither of us know how to disable the wireless completely. Also the itouch and iphone look very alike so thinking that cabin crew might think the itouch is an iphone?
All you need is your passport / photo ID and booking confirmation number as everything is held electronically. It's easiest just to print off the confirmation email but if you've no ink, just note down your reference in case you need it. You can use an Ipod but the wireless adapter must be disabled. If cabin crew are unsure, they'll ask.
Darren
Thanks dazbo, the itouch has the wireless bit for connecting to the internet built in which is why I'm thinking hubby might not be able to use it even for listening to music which doesn't need the wireless.
I don't want to be selfish by leaving two odd seats but I'm not sure what would be best for us as I would be the one with the two little ones while my husband would be alone the other side of the aisle. I know it doesn't really make a lot of difference and we may just have to take what's available, although we do have speedy booking.
I don't want us to be dithering about on the plane annoying everyone so I though it best to have a plan before we board
