Flight Only / Airline and Airports

Discussions relating to flight only, airlines and airports.
Hi Kedi ... Bodrum flights are from Gatwick North. When you select any flight on the Easyjet availability pages, it should show you the flight number and terminal details.

Hi all.

Im flying with easyjet on the 28th of june from Gatwick to Rhodes and just wondering what the flight is normally like what type of plane to expect, is the seating arrangements 3x3 or 2x3x2? is it normally a busy flight?

thanks :tup

demi2183,

Please try and quite flight numbers when you can as EZY operate lots of flights. LGW-RHO-LGW (EZY8797/8) are operated by an Airbus A320-200 (former GB Airways aircraft). These are narrow bodied aircraft configured 3-3. You'll find further details on our What Aircraft? guide. We cant post load factors, reasons here. However given it's school holidays and Rhodes is a popular family destination, expect it to be busy.

Does anyone know when Easyjet will have next years price list out??
Reply
I thinks that it's usually around November/Christmas time.

Last year the Gatwick flights were released on 5th December.

They don't publish a price list as such, the dates you see quoted on here (and for the other low cost airlines) is when they start taking reservations. The prices can vary wildly from day to day, they are usually cheapest as they open and get dearer but may have special promotions later which brings them down again.

hi will we be ok pooling luggage with easy jet? my fiances on about taking a largish sports bag insted of a case due to space in the car, would we be able to say have 15k in his hold hall and 25k in my case or 10k in the bag and 30 in my case without been charged? dont know how much well fit in the bag, but we normally manage to fill 2 large cases even for 1 week! we go sat night/sun morning from east mids to palma, thanks

I don't think that you can pool your luggage - I think you will incur an extra charge if one bag/case exceeds 20kg.

Remember also if possible to mix your packing between the 2 cases/bags - in the event that one goes missing you will both have something to wear!!

Try and cut back on the amount of clothes that you take - things that mix and match are best. You really do not need excessive amounts of clothing for a week in Majorca.

You can pool your luggage allowance with Easyjet and this has been mentioned a little earlier in this thread.

I have just re-read Easyjet's T&C's - it appears you are allowed one bag up to 20Kg and if it is over 20Kg you pay £9.00 excess per Kg up to the maximum permitted item weight of 32Kg. I am with Pippa on this, it doesn't look like you can pool baggage.

I have flown many times with Easyjet before and have pooled allowances but their terms appear to have changed. You used to be able to carry up to 8 bags within your 20Kg allowance but they are now charging per bag.

pooling luggage was discussed at length on this thread on 28/29 April, please go backwards a few pages - the link referred to by Kedi Yavrusu is still online (so presumably valid) and shows in pictures that you CAN pool on easyjet. As I said then, might be an idea to print the page off and take it with you.

Without wishing to go into too much detail as this has been discussed before but I too was unsure of this and have since made a firm booking of 2 passengers with only 1 hold case and the booking clearly states the following (extracted from the booking):

1 Hold bag(s) per flight between all passengers combined
The 2 passenger(s) in this booking may check in a combined total of 1 hold bag(s) for each flight on this booking. The total hold weight must not exceed 32 kg.

It can't be clearer than that !

Chris

ps we are off to Spain again in a couple of weeks (with Ryanair!) but if time permits will clarify this with the Easyjet staff.

Yes we pooled our luggage at the end of May with Easyjet the only criteria is that you don't exceed the maximum weight allowance.

I have only travelled with Easyjet from Stansted where the boarding can be a nightmare.

Having had our BA flights cancelled to Malta from Gatwick next January we are now having to book another flight.

What is the boarding like from Gatwick - it may be better policed than Stansted. I do not like Easyjet because the boarding procedure seems to bring out the worst in the British public.

If anyone has travelled on the Gatwick - Malta route with EJ then I would be glad to hear any comments.

You can purchase Speedy Boarding which means you will be amongst first to board the aircraft - might be worth it to save the stampede!

Easy Jet travellers are no different at Gatwick where ever you are travelling, as Kimi says speedy boarding may help, I personally would not bother as just two of us travelling and checking in early we always seem to be in boarding group "A" but still some people in "B" try to get in front. We have always had a choice of seats together but you must accept Easy Jet as a bus of the sky and forget the nicety of BA.
