Or if hubby has a shaver adaptor take that.......so your mossie plug goes into that and it's a 3 pin regular plug on the opposite. Or many of the muti type adaptors allow that way round too
Unfortunately, Miss Chief, hubby wet shaves but I do think I have a worldwide adaptor somewhere so I'll check that out too.
Cazz.
If I am missing my shaver adapter for the mozzie killer, I usually use another 3 pin plug to push the top pin inwards so it allows me to slip the 2 pin (European) plug in.
Failing that - I shove a pencil or a plastic pen top in until I can get the prongs in place..... Make sure the switch is in the "off" position first, though

Bliddy hell. That's something I won't be trying. I'm one of the "health and safety" brigade.
90+!!?? are you sure - or are you trying to make us all jealous - just cos it's snowing here!!
I see on Sky news you are having snow and other winter weather, I do feel for you all, here we have all the doors and windows open with ceiling fans on and running..what two thousand miles can do!! keep warm.
Has anyone tried the liquid plug in mossie repellant, how does it compare to the tablets you slide in?
we always use jungle formular in the liquid defusers.. not seen so mauch as a gnat in our rooms wherever we go
Thanks wizard, will pop in superdrug tomorrow. Last thing i need for my hols oh, and my tickets.
i need to know which 2 pin adapters i need for my holiday to cyprus. Is it the type with the large fat pins or the thin small ones. if anyone could help i would really appreciate it.
Apologies if I have misunderstood, but you won't need adaptors in Cyprus. They use the same 3 pin system as the UK (well 99% of the places do).
I've stayed in about a dozen different places on the island and every one has had UK style 3-pin sockets.
we have a full discussion on this one somewhere.. as others have mooted most hotels are British 3 pin HOWEVER there are quite a few which have European 2 pin and earth [usually hotels Aimed at German/Greek/ and other European clients] I have been in 2 hotels where an adaptor was needed but it is not a problem as they are so cheap ,we always carry one..
Merged with existing topic.
thanks lucy
Hi wizard these liquid defusers do you need one for each room?
ideally yes you do, remember if you purchase in the UK it will have a 2 pin plug which should adjust to fit European 2 pin sockets so a cheap adaptor may be usefull for each thats a 3 pin to 2 pin round in-case you have British sockets
