Hello
Just wondering about the electricity in Turkey ....My friend wants to take her hair straightners on holiday with us. Will they work with a travel plug? What kind of travel plug does she need to buy?
Thanks
Charl
You can buy travel adapters in the UK or just wait until you arrive in Turkey and go to any small supermarket or shop and they will sell them to you for about a quid.
Thanks for getting back to me guys. Cant wait to go now!
Can anyone tell me if you can use a battery recharger with a two pin adapter or would it be best just to buy batteries for a digital camera?
Lennie
We used the 2 pin adapter to charge both our digi camera batteries and our video ones. No problem.
Shall be taking my battery recharger and 2 pin adapter for digital camera, walkman and mini fan!
220 volts, 50 Hz
What electrical plugs are used in Turkey? TIA.
They use plugs with 2 round pins. Adapters are easy to get hold of, from the airport on your way out if needed.
Gatwick had them 3for2 £2.50 each, bargain. I paid nearly a fiver for one years and years ago
Is that the thin two pin or the slightly fatter two pin?
I've got adapters to suit all plug types but only want to pack the right one!
It's the thicker rounded 2 pin, not the thin flat american 2 pin!
they are the same as you use in spain, stef
What kind of adapters are used in Turkey, the round or square type?
plugs used in turkey are two pin round, the usual adaptor for abroad does,
Buy them when you get to the resort far cheaper than UK or airport
is electric power 2 pin or 3 pin many thanx.
2 pin.
£1.79 each from ASDA............. Mark
