Hello

Just wondering about the electricity in Turkey

....My friend wants to take her hair straightners on holiday with us. Will they work with a travel plug? What kind of travel plug does she need to buy?

You can buy travel adapters in the UK or just wait until you arrive in Turkey and go to any small supermarket or shop and they will sell them to you for about a quid.

You wont have any problems getting your electrical appliances to work in Turkey.

Can anyone tell me if you can use a battery recharger with a two pin adapter or would it be best just to buy batteries for a digital camera?

We used the 2 pin adapter to charge both our digi camera batteries and our video ones. No problem.

They use plugs with 2 round pins. Adapters are easy to get hold of, from the airport on your way out if needed.

It's the thicker rounded 2 pin, not the thin flat american 2 pin!
