anyone got anything nice to say about man to goa flying with LUFTHANSA?
Lots of good things to say about LH ,Flown with them many times always good service and almost always on time. But didnt know they had flights from MAN to GOI
yes fly to Germany change at some place witha name 1............................................1 that long then bom - Goa about £400
It will be Condor who will be flying the route, they are the leisure division of Lufthansa. The flights will go twice weekly, one from Frankfort and one from Munich. It will be another option for a lot of us as you can get a connecting Lufthansa flight from the likes of Edinburgh to Frankfort. We will just have to wait and see how they price it Alan
I always use Condor to fly to Goa from Munich. as they are the only airline that run direct flights from Germany. The service is no way as good as LH , no free drinks and poor food.but good at being on time! As for price i dont find them cheap but ive never had problems with excess baggage on return flight
If you go on the Condor website you can get prices from LHR to GOI
thank but no thanks £700+ for the dates I wanted
They wanted (Thompson) £22/night single room supplement.
I wonder if they will reply to me email I sent them? Ally Babba and Dick Turpin was mentioned in my email.
The advertised price was £444 the final price was £770 some mark up for extras.

its the news section regarding what you can take as hand luggage
water 100ml perfume etc
sorry the link didn't work
Don't know if this applies to Goa yet,but having just returned from Gran Canaria we were allowed 20 kilos each so we took 2 cases (both well under) others had packed 1 case thinking it would be easier. 1 case weighing 36 kilos was not allowed as the limit the baggage handlers will pick up is 32 kilos, can anyone confirm if this applies to Goa ?
We have just been to pick up our tickets etc from our travel agents - we fly First Choice to Goa from Manchester on Monday 27th November.
On closer inspection of our flight tickets we discovered that our expected departure time of 10pm has now been brought forward by 3 hours to 7pm!!
We have had no correspondence to tell us of this change - luckily we live nearby the airport and can alter our plans quite easily - but i wonder if any of you who are travelling to manchester from a wider area know about this change & hopefully you can work round it.
Thanks First Choice! hopefully the holiday wont contain any more hidden surprises!!

we travel out to goa on the 18th dec and our timing has changed from 10 to 7pm,i only found out by asking first choice (after reading on here)about flight time changes.im not bothered as i see it us getting there 3 hours earlier, which to me is only a good thing!
I fly from Manchester on 27th November and read the posts on here aboutn the flight changing times, so I rang my travel agent and confirmed this. It happened last year too, so I was expecting it but last year the flight was put back to midnight, so I am very please that it has been brought forward to 7pm. Especially as it is our 1st wedding anniversary. That means we can go in one of the airport lounges. We missed out last year as the lounges close at 8pm.
I have managed to buy extra legroom on my flights. I assume it will be OK going but what about coming back. The check in attendants are a little erm...
We pre-booked our seats on our flight (Monarch) going out last March but could only do it one way, we were late only 5 days before our flight when we booked them, we were told if we got to the airport early we could request to sit together (4 of us in our party) which we did, but the girl in the check in said we couldn't, if you have booked extra legroom both ways then I would say you will be OK, if not then it's probably potluck.
No problem with the return trip, we just got to dabolim early via taxi rather than the bus and just informed the check in guy of our pre booked seats.
