many thanks, how much can we buy cigs and cost? thanks shazzer
You can only take 200 each into India and take the same out I believe Bahrain is good for electrical goods though. We were supposed to stop there last year but when we got to the airport were told it was direct .
we was told we can buy as many cigs as we like so its not true just thought id check.
Yeah think we have all been told that, the 1st time we went a friend of ours got stopped for having too many cigs, the ''customs man'' said you can pay me £10 or do lots of paper work and pay similar amount he ended up paying £10 AFTER doing the paperwork as he believed he had been wrongly advised. We have been going to Goa now for 6 years - twice a year some years - and we always buy more and hide then in hand luggage, its a chance you take
Good luck
Jules
hi jules, thanks for that i suppose we will have to take our chance any idea of the cost for cigs and bacca? thanks shazzer
dont know if this helps you but last year in the airport in india drum beco was only 2 dollers for the big size .....I bought 14 for my son....(colleen) :
just remember your duty free is:-
I bought 1000 marlborough red for £32 in Bahrain earlier this year.
Its really not worth buying gigs or tobaco in Bahrain there so cheap in Goa, Depends on what brands you smoke.the Indian ones i buy are called Win, only 600 rps for 200 and are favourable with superkings. Some of the english brands are fakes .Bensons are the worst i think. You can get all the rolling tobaco there very cheap.
Hi Split
Has anyone flown to goa with my travel.
Maz. Yes i have seen GoldenVirginia there, but take your own papers as many of the ones sold there loose there sticky ness.
Hi Sleep, MY Travel are much better than monarch, can't remember the seating arrangements, but you may be able to find them on
Thanx lin sorted it out now on the flights forum its 3 3 3,looking good certainly sounds lot better than monarch so i'll be booking soon by the looks of things,YIPPEE.
I flew with my travel and I wasn't impressed, the cabin staff where useless and everything was too much of a bother for them. AND if you do have the misfortune to fly with them TAKE your own food a stale sandwich is better than the C*** thy literally throw at you.
here. Remember that this thread is only for Goa related flight queries.
A reminder of the first post on this thread
I have taken this thread back by popular demand. Please note that this thread is for SPECIFIC questions re flights to and from Goa. It is not here to replace the flights/airlines and airports forum. If you have general questions about the aircraft, inflight info, companies or UK airports, please post them there Any questions posted on this thread that are not Goa specific will be moved to the Flights forum.I will not leave a link here as it is often useless as posts get merged.
If this causes too many problems or complaints I may have to reconsider. (Please note that other forums do not allow flight questions.) I have an evergrowing list of forums to mod and I don't want to mod a mini flights forum as well!!
Please also note that any flights questions posted outwith this thread will be moved to here.
Lecture over! I hope you find this thread a useful additon to our forum.
