MAZ1406,

It depends on which aircraft type is assigned for your flight. FCA have 2 flights per week (Tues: FCA5202/2 and Fri: FCA5518/9). If they assign an A321-200, then the 'premium' upgrade isn't really worth it for the relatively short flight in my opinion (see FCA website for more details). If they assign one of their star class 767-300's, then you'll get the full treatment with 36" legroom. I can't say which it will be at the moment I'm afraid. Refer to FCA's website for more details.

Stansted is a full A321 base and therefore the flight will be a A321. B767-300's dont operate to Tenerife.

Thanks Dazbo5. We are on the Friday flight, so we will just have to wait and see what we get, I just hope its not like most economy seats as my husband is 6ft 4" tall and has great diffuculty getting into these seats.

Thanks for the clarification BEfreeTODAY. In that case, you'll get 33" seat pitch from the two rows of premium seats at the font of the aircraft. Its personal preference with upgrades really. If you need the extra legrom, then it might be worth it for you. The rest of the shorthaul premium 'perks' isn't in my opinion.

Have a great time,

Darren

33" is better for short haul though especially those over 6ft

Kaz Molly60,

It's a little early to say as yet. It should be a Boeing 757-200 or an Airbus A321-200.

Has anyone had any excess luggage waived with F C A ?,i am flying
to Egypt tomorrow and my case is 5 kilos over, due to all the bottles of suncream etc.

I'm Phyll's daughter and she's just sent me a text to say her suitcase was 4 kilos overweight but she wasn't charged

Edit. Flight due to leave at 13.35 and it's boarding now (12.45) so no delays

I'm flying with First choice to Antalya Sun 15th Oct from Manchester with my husband and son. We have booked places in manchesters escape lounge; but have now received our flight tickets and advised that check in is only opening two hours prior to departure.
Do you know whether first choice will permit check in before this or not so that we can fully unwind in the lounge before the flight?

kelherring,

It depends how much earlier you were planning to checkin. You might get away with checking in 2.5 hrs prior to your flight, even 3 hours but I doubt they'll let you check-in any earlier than that. FCA's desks are open to all flights so the check-in times are staggered to allow a smooth check-in without horrendously large ques (although T2 between 8am and 12pm is normally really busy).

Thanks for that, had planned to be at terminal 3 hours before so hopefully will be okay then. My son has severe learning difficulties so travelling is always easier when we can take our time about it without having to rush - hence the lounge.

hi, 8 of us off to mexico on oct 15th flying star class premier. does anyone know if check in opens 3 hours prior to dep or 2. we are hoping to be one of the first to check in as ideally we would like 4 sets of 2 seats all down one side but we are not very hopeful. TA said its first come first served but a while ago i read on here that star class premier seats are allocated when you book. can anyone give me any info? thanks

It opens 3 hours before along with the rest of the check in for long haul. The seats are allocated on a first book first seated service, so the longer ago you booked the further forward you will be. Also it is highly unlikely you will all get 2 seats down the side.

thanks for that will just hope that they have put us together as we booked over 1 year ago so should be ok. so TA was wrong then. hope the upgrade is worth it, it looks it.
