Just need to speak to the other half and confirm this is ok with him (as the booking is in his name) and if so, contact F.C. again tomorrow.
Is there a seperate check-in desk at LGW North Terminal for people traveling FCA SCPremier?

There should be! There should be an express check-in desk for premium customers. Although saying that, at Manchester they sometimes just shout out while people are in the que that any premium customers should follow a member of staff to the front of the que and they do it that way. I've never had the pleasure of going through Gatwick, but at MAN the number of check-in desks is tight so they may do it that way to maximise the number of 'open' desks.

Just booked a ticket with firstchoice on the 2nd january from bham to tenerife, but have found a better flight time and want to cancel it.
what is the deal with this?
Do they allow cancellation?
Do they charge?
Any help would be great, Thankyou
D
Have you booked flight only? e-ticket? If so, the policy is no refunds. Have a read of the terms and conditions for more info. If the other flight is with First Choice, then you should be able to transfer your booking to the other flight at a charge.

Hi all - off to Maldives for Xmas and fly two weeks tomorrow (fairly late booking). Not flown with FCA before on a longhaul and note that you have to pay for drinks in economy and that many reviews state that the drinks service is not very good/regular. Anyone know what the situation is ref being able to buy water at duty free to take on board (flying from Manchester also never flown from here but no flights were available from London airports). Also, wanted to upgrade our seats but no upgrades available when booking - told they don't normally offer upgraded flights for holidays of only a week - anyone know if it's still worth ringing to ask closer to time of flight or asking at check-in etc?
although the drinks service are few and far between, all you need to do is ask one of the flight attendants or press the button above your head and they will serve you at any time. As long as you buy your water in duty free, you can take it on board the aircraft. Chances are, all the premium seats will be booked by now. These tend to get booked up very quickly. The chances of getting a premium seat is virtually zero close to the date of your flight, and no chance at check-in unless you are very lucky and there are some spare. You won't get an 'upgrade' unless you pay for it.
Have a great holiday,
Darren
Thanks for the info Dazbo - was of course more than happy to pay for upgrades but, like you say, suspect that no longer available. Glad will be ok for water - have done 3 long haul with Virgin this year and we really struggled to get water on board and I always get so dehydrated flying!
so this one should be a peice of cake.
Off to Cayo Coco in Feb flying from Manchester, would I be correct in assuming that its likely to be a Boeing 737-300
Keep up the Excellent Work
Cheers
Andy.
P.S. Ali we,ve also booked to go SCP would love to hear more about your experience
we flew to the Maldives with FC earlier this year in May and the flights were great. Plenty of room in economy, so much so in fact that I don't think the price they were quoting for the upgrade (which for the Maldives was £279pp) is worth it. That money can be put towards your bill on your island and will buy would some great meals and extra drinks, scuba diving etc. Darren is right though the drinks services were few and far between so pick up plenty at the airside shops at the airport.
Have a great time - we've spent the last two Christmas' in the Maldives and are very sad not to be there again this year (although we are flying with FC on Sunday when we go to the Dominican Republic). Will have to wait untill May for our return to the Maldives as we've booked a 17 night holiday so not all bad.

The Boeing 737-300 is a small, short - medium range narrow bodied airliner. It could do the flight, but you wouldn't want to in one of them! They don't actually have any 737's in their fleet, only 757 and 767's + Airbus. It'll be one of FCA's excellent Boeing 767-300ER's opperating your flight with the full star class interiors. These are much larger, wide bodied aircraft for medium to long range flights. I flew to Varadero with them in March, most excellent.
These are my trip reports from my flights for info:
First Choice Airways Flight FCA048; Manchester (MAN/EGCC) - Varadero, Cuba (Juan Gualberto Gomez, VRA/MUVR), 3rd March 2006
First Choice Airways Flight FCA049 from Varadero, Cuba (Juan Gualberto Gomez, VRA/MUVR) - Manchester (MAN/EGCC), 17th March 2006
is there no end to the knowledge in your head
It's not as full of useless information as you might think! I'll let you in to a little secret, its easy when you have all the info on a screen infront of you!

Yep, there deffinately was when I was there in the summer, I can remember being annoyed that I didnt have Premier seating
I just hope that we don't get the same 26hr delay as we did when we flew from Gatwick in 2005

It's a bonus if its on the return leg, an extra days holiday! We had a 52 hour delay coming back from Jamaica in 2003, 16 days for the price of 14 Its the outbound leg you'd be sick.
Have a great holiday,
Darren
Judging by the amount of entertainment shown as being avaliable to passengers flying on FC aircraft on the FC web site can i assume that all their planes have personal screens, or do you just get them on the top range flights?
It depends on the destination you are flying to. Only the long haul Boeing 767-300ER's have seat back IFE installed. FCA's short haul aircraft (A320/1 and 757's) have ceiling mounted IFE.

Hi, I emailed First choice to ask about SCP seat width. They have told me it is exactly the same as SC. Does anyone know if this is correct?
Yes, exactly the same seat layout so i'm guessing the width must be the same.
