Hi harry,

I suffer from a wheat intolerence so I often order a gluten free meal.

You'll have no problems taking your own food on board - we flew with FC to the Dom Rep 3 weeks ago and took some cooked chicken with us.

If memory serves me correctly my last meal was baken salmon with boiled potatoes and vegetable. Second meal was gluton free bread rolls and a fruit salad.

I know the breakfast was pretty crappy once year - my hubby munched on croissants, a cereral bar and a muffin - I got a bag on walkers plain crisps and a box of raisins !!

Take a new snacks and I'm sure you'll be fine.

Flying to Puerto Plata on 5 Feb from Manchester, Star Class Premier. Tickets state check in from
06.55, flight at 09.55. I was under the impression as a part of the flight upgrade check in was 2 hours before flight (rather than 3). Can anyone enlighten me please. We have already changed our taxi time once and as we only live about an hour and a half from the airport we don't want to be hanging around any longer than we have to. Would also give us an extra hour in bed!! (There are 7 of us in our party.) Would be most grateful for comments.

caroline davis,

Even though it might say check-in opens 3 hours before the scheduled departure time, you're still fine checking-in 2 hours prior. 2 hours is the norm.

:) Hi ppl,

I'm new here to the forums and though I'm from Germany I decided to go with FCA for my next holidays.

Just completed the booking, 2 weeks from 3rd of FEB 2008 Isla Margarita / Porlamar departing from LGW. Upgraded to PREMIER STAR CLASS.

Now I wonder how this can be - the naked return flight had a price of 1,928 Pounds so I decided to book the whole holidays from FC.

Got me also an AI 4* hotel and payed total only 1,891 Pounds (including the PREMIER upgrade of course !!)...... :!:

What a wonderful world...............

julier,

You normally get lunch and a snack about 1.5 hours before landing. Have breakfast before you board the aircraft!

Hi,

My partner and I are flying with First Choice Star Class Premier next week to Jamaica and I have a few questions :D

Have the trays now been fixed on the aircrafts?

What meals can we expect on a day flight?

Does anyone know the type of aircraft we will be on?

Thanks

Emma

Emma1708,

I can't help with your first two questions, but you'll be travelling on one their Boeing 767-300ER's. I've posted flight reviews on page 50 of this thread if you're interested.

Have a great holiday,

Darren

Emma, can you let us know how you get on? We are off to Jamaica flying SCP on the 2nd April. I've heard really good reports about it and that your luggage will come off first, so you should miss the immigration queue. We are stopping at the Jamaica Grande. Hope you have a great flight and holiday. I think First choice have agreed to absorb the extra tax, which I'm hoping will still be the case when we go in April. Regards Rachael

Rachael, I will let you know what it was like when we get back

As for the tax, I called First Choice and was told because we had already paid in full they are covering the tax - I would check with them to see what the cut off date was for paying in full by

Hi Tarnlass,

This flight will be operated by First Choice Airways on a Boeing 767-300 aircraft. Not flow Star Class Premier yet but it looks very good.
