They reclined a fair amount - but i suppose it was the usual - sorry cacnot be more specific.

Yes there were children, i have my opinions on this and had some very rude replies when i posted my feelings last year following a bad experience. However, it must be said this year, all credit to the parents the kids that were there were excellent, no screaming and running around. The parents all came prepared and looked after their children instead of letting them run riot or scream for hours! This inclused very young babies too.

Films - we had devil wears prada, little miss sunshine, pirates of carribean (the latest one whatever number that is!) - there is a link somewhere in this thread which will take you to the current list.

To upgrade from the regular seats you ask one of the flight attendants who will relieve you of your money and upgrade your sysytem. Its all very efficient.

oh no, just read that you cant pool your weight allowance together. we always take one big case and one little one for the 4 of us. this leaves me to keep my eye on the little ones and the better half with the luggage.
so now it will be one case each.

The Seeds - where did you read that you can't pool luggage allowances ?
I was worried about this with the new max single item limit of 23kgs but this thread and F/Cs own site says you can.

I read it on here, unless its me being silly and not reading it right

The seeds - this is the link to the new relevant luggage rules on FC site. I thought I'd better check again!!!

There used to be somewhere on the first choice site where you could see what movies you were going to be subjected to on the flight. Anyone know where this is now, or what movies are on at the moment.

Thanks

Smartiepants,

It used to be on the page about inflight facilities and comfort, but the link hasn't been there for a good few months now so you can't find out what they are showing anymore.

The reasoning behind the TV data being taken down from the website was because due to some aircraft not recieving the update for some weeks into a month, therefore the information was wrong.

Basically now you get what you get.

Does anybody know what time check-in desks open for First Choice flights at Manchester. Particularly thinking about FCA024 - 22.00hrs on Feb 27.

Thanks

dazbo - great photos on airlinersdotnet, must get to that spot on the 06L threshhold sometime

do you have any info on the roster to be flown summer 2007 by FCA 767s? I'm flying EMA - SFB in August and have sort of worked out from FC brochures which legs the 767 out of EMA flies the previous 3 days so I can track progress and have some idea of delays, etc. before we depart. I think I've worked it out but do you have any details e.g where it positions in from at the start of the week? Any info would be much appreciated.

cozzyleicester,

I don't have the schedule for FCA I'm afraid so I can't say where it will position in from. I can normally work it out once the summer schedule kicks in (May) from ACARS logs. Get back to me in May and I'll give it a go.

We flew First Choice premium from Male to Gatwick last week and 4 hours from home it was announced that they had run out of water. Therofre, when they served the light snack, there wouldn't be any tea or coffee. Using the toilet was restricted to emergencies only and to top it all they ran out of diet drinks. Does anyone know who is responsible for ensuring there is enough provisions for a 11.5 hour flight before the plane takes off?

I am presuming they took the same amount of water as they normally do and should have it topped up at Male.

The basics of a flight to Male involve all the supplies for the return being loaded from the hold into the cabin, because they cannot rely on suppliers abroad. Weight is a problem here also.

Usually it is rare to run out of simple things.

I thought that's what you meant, most of my photography is done from their although 06L can be just as good when we have easterlies.

I am flying with First Choice Airways from Manchester on the 28th of April to Varadero taking off at 10:20. I just wondered if I would be able to track the plane and discover what time it would land in Manchester before it flew us to Cuba.

You seem to be well informed on these matters and I thought you might be able to point me in the right direction.

Many thanks in advance and great photo's keep up the good work.

Are the flight numbers still FCA048/9 for MAN-VRA? I was on that flight last year! The flight operates every 2nd Saturday which makes things a little more difficult to work out the movements, but I think I've cracked it. I've checked ACARS and is shows G-OOAN was used on 20th Jan. I've done a search for that registration for the 20th and it shows the aircraft touched-down in Manchester at approx. 0620 in the morning operating flight FCA035 inbound from Orlando Sanford (SFB). Hope that helps and have a great time in Varadero, Cuba is a fantastic country (been twice myself!).
