tet,
Thanks for your comments. I'll be posting my inbound trip report soon so watch out for it. You recieve a complimentary pampering pack on the outbound flight containing headphones, flight sockets, blindfold, face towel, toothbrush and toothpaste and a breath fresh white smint! There's no charge for it. I never thought of mentioning it in my review. Here's a couple of photo's for you:
Have a great time in PV, where abouts are you staying? The humpbacks have gone now so you'll not see them, but there's plenty of Dolphins around to have a play with. If you want any other info, post here about the flights or PM me about PV.
Darren
darren why didnt you use the packs ??? and i agree great reports.
Thanks Claire. We had 3 packs between us so didn't need them all. They provide hot towels and things during the flight (another thing I forgot to mention in my review ) . I use my own headphones, I hate the ones you put in your ears.
Please does anyone know what type of planes First Choice use for Sharm El Sheikh, (hope to go 24 May), trying to find out the leg room.
Many thanks
if you pick up a copy of the First Choice Tropical Brochure for Nov 07 - Oct 08 you will find some behind the scenes details on the B787 and how it will be configured.
Wider seats, bigger windows, wider aisles, better on board comfort.
You'll be travelling on a Boeing 757-200. Seat pitch is 28".
Have a great time if you book,
Darren
Do they class Sharm El Sheikh as long haul?
Would it be necessary to prepay to sit together or just turn up early and hope??
Do they class Sharm El Sheikh as long haul?
You're presumably thinking of flying from Manchester? The flight details are: Dep MAN 13:55, Arr SSH 21:30, Boeing 757-200, Flight No: FCA682. The distance is 2555 miles and the flight time is 5hrs 35mins. It depends who's definition of long haul you apply! For charter airlines, this is classed as short haul.
Would it be necessary to prepay to sit together or just turn up early and hope??
That's personal preference and depends how many are travelling with you. If you are in a small group and check-in nice and early (ie 2hrs before your scheduled departure), then you should get seats together. If you are in a large group and check-in late, then the chance of getting split up increases.
Darren
Info much appreicated. Are 757-200 seats 3 and 3? Do you know if there is any entertainment? (went to Taba last year with Astraeus and of course there is nothing!!)
Many thanks
They're the ones. They have 233 seats on board configured 3-3 with 28" seat pitch. IFE is provided by ceiling mounted CRT screens above the isle or LCD screens above the seats depending on the aircraft.
Darren
Thanks Darren

Darren on a previous post you was going to let me know about which plane we would be using (page 42) maybe you are still trying to find out -sorry if you are!
My flight is FCA4214
Gatwick 17.15 to Sur Reina Sofia on 24.07.07 (I know ages yet!)
Thanks for that
Darren is it possible you can now let us know?
These are your flight details:
Dep LGW 1715, Arr TFS 2135, Boeing 757-200, Flight Number: FCA4214
The trip distance is 1809 miles with a flight time of 4hrs 20 mins.
Have a great time,
Darren
Your Flight Will Probably Be On one Of Their 757-200's
These Have 28" Pitch
With A Turquoise Interior
You nearly beat me 2 it!!!! Have you seen my flight review to PVR? The link is on the previous page. I'm 80% there with the inbound report, I'll post it during the week.
Further to what jamz mentions, this is a cabin shot aboard one of their 752's. Apologies for the poor shot. I was in seat 5C for nearly 5 hours and couldn't get out to take a proper shot because the person besides me fell asleep just after take-off until about 5 mins before we landed. I was stuck!
This one's a bit better. This is aboard one of their Airbus A320-214's which are similar inside. The main difference is the 752 is a larger aircraft although they share the same cabin configuration. Seat pitches are 28" with a lovely turquoise leather interior. The IFE on the 757 is via CRT screens above the isle rather than LCD panels overhead as shown here on the A320's.

(note to Santa Clause: Please can I have a Canon 10-22mm lens for christmas please, I'll be a good boy, promise )
promise ..
Thanks for those quick replies
Apologies if this is going over old ground...
I'm doing some research into my 2008 holiday and am considering FC star class. I know they have seat pitches of 36", as oposed to 33" in cattle, but are the seat widths different.
I haven't seen a seatingplan so I can't tell if you are only getting 3" more for your money.
Any help or reference material greatly welcomed.
Thanks,
Andy
They seats are no wider!
hi travelling to dalaman in premium seats.(first 4 rows)...think its an A320..anyone confirm. was just wondering if the first row is nearly in line with the plane door therefore restricting leg room in seat A, also where would the IFE screen be !!! hope this all makes sense
