Monarch Airlines: Better Economy Class Seating On Goa Flights
20 Jun: Air & Business Travel News (U.K.). Monarch Airlines, is to reconfigure the cabin of its two long haul A330 aircraft. These traditionally operate on routes to Barbados, Calgary, Goa, Orlando and The Maldives. The economy seating has been reduced to 307 with an increased seat pitch between 31 and 33 inches and follows a similar and most successful reconfiguration of the airline's short haul fleet.

Don't know what I am flying on :x

Does anybody know if these charter flights are non-stop these days?
Can't find anything on their site to tell me if there's a re-fueling stop.
TIA.

Rhea,
Book the train before you go via an Indian travel agent.
The train is fine, takes about 10 hours. Cost about 20 sterling for aircon.
Booking a flight back is simple, go to any of the agents in resort and they will sort it for you, they make a small charge but not much.

Thanks lezlie, its just that the restrictions say that liquids can't be taken on board and i'm always frightend that if i pack the Honeybee in my hold luggage it may get broke, so i usually take it on board in my hand luggage.

Jayne,

thing are changing regarding hand luggage, I always wrap bottles in socks and shirts in the centre of my case and devide them with cartons of cigarettes  remember they are banded and HM customs cant be bothered

I have been on MYT095 and it is a direct flight. you have to buy head sets to watch the television £2.5, you also have to buy water @ £1 for a half letre
in fact everything on MYT has a price tag on it.

if it is not too late inform them that you need assistance from the aircraft because it is one hell of a walk in the sun to the tirminal building

I have moved a few posts to the Flights forum. Please remember that this thread is only for specific Goa related queries. The seat configurations, entertainment on board, legroom duty free and other flight queries all must go to the flights forum. As said before, this is the only destination which has such a thread but it is not here INSTEAD of the flights forum. As the Goa forum comes into its busy time I do have to spend hours of my own time every day modding on HT( as well as a full time job) and I'm sure you will appreciate that I don't want a flights forum to mod as well! Splitting posts from this thread and moving to another forum and then having to pm members to explain also takes time. I don't want to have to close this thread so please bear with me!
Thanks

My niece just found flights from Edinburgh to Goa for two weeks leaving on 12th February, for £440 which I felt was pretty good, considering it can be as much as £80 for the Edinburgh/London flight. This is with BMI to Heathrow and BA to Mumbai and Indian Airlines to Dabolim. The flight times are not bad either.

Virgin have some reasonable flight prices at just over £300 return to Mumbai.

This year they are demandind to see accomodation vouchers before they book you in at Manchester. One woman in front of us was refused but lucky for her the company who she had bought the ticket from had an agency desk open and she was able to get a written voucher from them, if it had been closed she woud'nt have been allowed to travel, so if you are flight only make sure you have one with you Alan
