What time is latest check-in for the Cancun flight? Bearing in mind how long it will take you to collect luggage off carousel you might be cutting it fine. You flight will probably be boarding around 9.30 and don't you normally have to check-in long haul at least an hour and a half before take off? :think

Hi shirley h

That is the first flight of the morning. I am hoping I am going to make it. I checked with Thomsons and they said it should be fine. I am hoping to be at the Cancun check in for 8.30. I shoud check what time is the last check in actually

I believe TOM/FCA close check-in at LGW at -60mins, so you should be fine. If you want to double check it might be worth posting on the TOM/FCA thread as at least one of those who posts regularly on there seems to work for the airline.

Hi all,
Would like your comments if anyone has booked the Sofitel Hotel Gatwick or any hotel in the Gatwick area with Gatwick Reservations on the net.
As I have found a good price with them for an overnight stay for May2009, as flying to the Dom.Rep the next morning.
Is this company good with customer service, has anyone had any problems with bookings or after you have booked.
Thanks in advance.

That is indeed a very good price, almost too good to be true.

I haven't used them but will be interested hearing your feedback if you decide to use them.

If you book with FHR with discount code FHR-H2007 you will save £10, I would check this against your other quote because I think it may be cheaper. :tup

I have used these people for meet and greet and I am using them again in Nov, £52 for 8 days, they meet you at the terminal, and then meet you when you come back, its so nice not having to wait for a bus. For 11 days in August this year when I went to las vegas. :sun2 it was £79 when others were charging £110

Hi Mark,
Just an update on my reservation for the Sofitel.
Telephoned the hotel direct today to ask there best price for a triple adult room for May 6th reservation and their price was £169.00 +vat on top. So I got in touch by phone to Gatwick Reservations and their deal was £139.00 inc vat, the girl at the other end was very helpful, she said I had to go onto their website and book that way, then when she got all the details from the site, I would get a confirmation e-mail. Sure enough I received firstly a Booking Acknowledgement then about 1/2 an hour later a Booking Confirmation e-mail.
Payment is direct to the hotel on checking out, everything seems so easy.

Some feedback on http://www.gatwickreservations.com

I this morning booked two rooms at the Sofitel in Gatwick at £99 a room which was the best rate available I could find on the web.

Booked it and all confirmed.

So far so good...

Hi Mark,
Glad you are pleased so far with your booking of the Sofitel with Gatwick Reservations. Good price for your rooms also, the reason ours is £139.00 is because I have a triple for 3 adults.

As you say so far so good.

We are flying to Faro on Thursday 15th January at 10.50am with BA.

We plan to check in online the previous day and use the fast bag drop at the North Teminal.

We are staying in a b&b about 10 minutes away and want to have a fairly leisurely breakfast. If we arrive at the terminal between 9 and 9.15am will that give us enough time? We don't really need to do anything once airside apart from a loo visit and buy water and coffee etc.

Did you mean you wanted to have a fairly leisurely breakfast at the airport? Or were you implying that you wanted to turn up to the airport a little later after having a leisurely breakfast?

Either way, you should be ok. Last time I had a flight at that time, the wait for a breakfast at either Garfunkels or Wetherspoons was around 35 minutes, however this was in the middle of Summer. At this time of year it will be much quieter. BA generally start boarding 30 minutes before departure, so as long as you leave enough time to be ready to board by 10:20, then you'll be fine.
