Does anybody know if I can cash my traveller cheques at this hotel and if so do you know how much they charge?
If you go into the centre of Salou along the front you can change your travellers checks at a much better rate though I cant remember exactly how much the rate is.
I am looking for some info on the above Hotel. Just booked it for 1 week on Sept 21st 08. Can anybody who has stayed their lately give me some info on the dress code in restaurant for Dinner also how far it is from Salou and PortAventura. Been to PortAventura a few years ago for a couple of days and loved it, just want to see if anything new in it.
Thanks
Chazer
Hi stayed hear about three years ago and the dress code was long trousers or dress shorts for men. the journey by bus is about 15 mins and the bus stop is just outside the side gate of the hotel.
Thanks for the reply and info. Stayed in a 4* in Salou a couple of years ago and that was the dress code their also. Didn't want to pack trousers if I wasn't going to need them. Specially with the weight restrictions now.
If anybody has stayed in this Hotel this year can you please give any info that would help with anything.
Hi Again Folks,
h10.mediterranean.village@h10.es
Thanks luci.
Also how far from porteventura. Is there transport by local bus.
How far from the beach
Hope you can help
thanks
probably if you e-mail the hotel they would let you know how much it is for meals.
All I can tell you is that is close to the beach and about 25 or 30 minutes walking from port aventura... and yes there are buses (Plana is the company) and their site is
just booked a week here can you tell me if you have to pay the deposit even if half board and how far to nearest bars etc also is there an indoor pool thankyou also can you still hire towels and how much does it cost.
hi when we went you just went into the restuarant with your room number card that reception give you and pay on the way out.
The main good point is there are bus and land train stops right outside the hotel, and as you are so far away from everything, these are very useful.
Overall, I think this hotel is overated at 4 star, 2.5 to 3 at best.
Not too many english channels (3 - no cartoons!) for a supposedly english hotel.
Sorry to be negative, my opinion only.
I agree with bw66460, not a 4 star in my opinion. For it being a Thomas Cook flagship I thought it was pretty poor. Been to better 3 star hotels in Spain. Food was Ok nothing to write home about. Found most of the staff Ok, the only problem we had and like many was we arrived about 11.45am and they would not give us our room keys until 2pm and most of the people on our flight had be on the go since 5/6am and just wanted to get into rooms. Also, yes the bus stop is outside the hotel to take you to Salou and PortAventura.

hi been to the med village twice and it is a bit hilly but there are buses just outside the hotel for salou and it's quite flat for walking. there are more bars in salou and you would probably like 007, near the seafront, robin hood across the road from 007, shennanigans is off the europa roundabout, set back a couple of streets, there is also kiss disco, chaplins and loads more up near all the main shopping area. restuarants are mostly in salou, but downhill into cap salou there is a good pub with grub called the smugglers inn and the paddock.hope you have a great time and the pools are brills at the med village.we loved it
