Hey Ive been to the Med Village twice and am going again this year. Ill give you as much info as I can remember. Firstly Cap Salou Is much quieter than Salou, but it does offer a few places to eat. As already mentioned the Paddock and the Smugglers are two great places to eat(the Smugglers does fantastic ribs) you wont find much in authentic food in the area. Also there is a wonderful Italian that is slightly hidden away, If I remember its the street behind the Smugglers Inn, the food is great and at a good price.

It is hilly but as mentioned the bus stop outside makes it easy to get into Salou. Round the same are where it all happens in Cap Salou ( i do mean all!) you can find one kind of bar/club that may be open late. Your best bet is Salou, you will find what your looking for there. The food can be expensive depends on what your looking for.

On the left you will see a list of some of the places you could visit in Salou and some have prices if Im correct so you will get an Idea. I think its about €2.70 a pint in the H10 itself, you will find it cheaper if you go some where else. Anything else please ask.

Hi.

I was wondering if anyone could tell me what this hotel is like in the middle of October. Ive heard the hotel is busy with familys still around in early October. As there is only 2 of us we want to go when theres not so many kids. I was thinking around from the 15th for 1 week but we wont bother if its all getting ready for closing then.
TIA.

Hi Danny.H,

As this hotel is located in Cap Salou and not Salou town it will definately be starting to wind down ready for winter close down.

Salou town would be busier but even Salou itself is very seasonal and it can vary season to season just how busy it is during Mid October.

Come 31st Oct 85% of the hotels will be shut.

October is also the wettest month on the Costa Dorada. I love Salou but to be honest I would be wary of recommending people go there this late in the season.

The Costa Del Sol would be a better bet at this time of year.

Cheers

Hi Mark,

Thanks for your reply very helpful. :tup

Think we are going to give it a miss for October and try and go in May next year. We have also been looking at the Calypso and the Sol Costa Dorada but dont know what to make of them? I have never been to Salou before but Ive wanted to go after hearing so many good things about it.

Danny :)
